A lot of this stuff was covered in part by various news outlets and translated by other kind people. I'll just share some of the things that haven't been translated before.

Yuzu chose the name for his program "SEIMEI" in English (romaji) uppercase letters so that it would be associated with the character but also with the other meanings of the word 'SEIMEI'
He wanted to expand his borders this season and listened to many different music pieces. Amidst the trial and error, the thought of doing a Japanese style came up. So he listened to music from various TV dramas and chose one that foreigners would also listen to, from the movie Omyoji.
About asking Shae Lynn Bourne to choreograph his program again:
This is her choreography so at this point I am not yet able to consistently show my best movements. We do not yet have a perfect understanding of each other. As with Jeffery Buttle's Parisiene Walkways, I want to take this program and make it my own. There is a thought that this choreography should have been done by some one from Japan as that would bring out the style more strongly, but I wondered about making it too strongly Japanese. With this thought I got Shae Lynn Borne to choreograph SEIMEI so as to pick up the wonderful aspects of Japan as seen from the World's view.
In the course of creating this program, they watched traditional Japanese dance studying the movements of Kyogen and Noh. The smooth movements while walking, 'I thought it would translate well into skating' says Hanyu. 'I want to incorporate it into my performance.'
He says the costume is not complete since there is a difference in how things look in the spotlight, and under the lights of a competition. The costume is taken from the casual wear of the nobility of the Heian Period.
The program itself is 1 and a half minutes shortened. 'There is a crescendo in the full version, and a part where the tempo is fast. Please look forward to this for later.' Says Hanyu.

He's really thought about this program from many angles. He seems very passionate and 'in the moment' but behind it he is an analytical and study-driven skater...at least, that is the impression I get.
If the idea indeed occurred to him, What a “SMART” thought he had because “SEIMEI” has multiple meanings (plus most of them are as positive meanings) unless it was in Kanji “晴明”.
For example…(All of them are pronounced “Seimei” in Japanese.)
1.生命 means LIFE, LIVING…etc
2.姓名 means THE NAME
3.盛名 means FAME, RENOWN…etc
4.声明 means STATEMENT
5.声名 means REPUTATION, REPUTE, CELEBRITY…etc
6.清明 means LUCIDITY
7.性命 means THE ESSENTIAL QUALITIES and TALENT as Providence , FATE…etc
8.誓盟 means PLEDGE, OATH, PROMISE….etc
9.聖明 means (Emperor’s ) WISDOM, VIRTUOUS
