Artists who work intuitively often claim they are in communication with God, they are expressing God's insights. Yulia's God is quite orderly with a fine feeling for drama. Still worried about Yulia losing her ethereal qualities, witcher?

How long is it now that I've been begging for her to skate in a pair of Adidas with a huge pop out tongue. Throw in all of her gangster hats and I think Adidas would be quite pleased and hopefully continue to fund her programs for many years to come ;)

Don't you think she has changed lately? She's hugging strangers, kissing children, she is relaxed, friendly, talkative and smiling everywhere on these pictures. I think she finally left Sochi madness behind. :)

nothing nicer than a nice pun. She's smoother than ever. Blending relaxed arm movement into Bauer and spiral is a big step forward artistically. And she is pleased enough to post the clip, she's definitely headed in the right direction.

Witcher, it has something to do with talking to coach, mom, and relatives (her words). It also has to do with acceptance of her failures by others. You may recall that she had a lot of anxiety about letting her country down throughout last year (especially at China), and how the fed would react (including loss of stipend). They were supportive. The support and nurturing of Marina and her staff had to be very significant, more than just benefits to skating. She sees just how much the world loves her. She has been involved with cancer and para-Olympics in the past, as well as anti-violence/-war. She has begun to use her popularity to promote causes she believes in.

She is enjoying her life as a teenager now. Truly enjoys it. :yes:

That's why I'll never hold her to the "Sochi" standard she once achieved. If she keeps skating and is able to be happy....I'm beyond content. To me she embodies the term "staying true to yourself". It is very inspiring both on and off of the ice.
