The newest translation said that it is announced that yuzu will skate to a piece that makes use of his rhythmic sense?? So it might not necessarily be upbeat?? Dunno

Huh...I was thinking the opposite in that if it uses his rhythmic sense then it probably is upbeat  which would be something jazzy or contemporary. I'm so excited to see it and happy Jeff is the choreographer. :cheer: Hang on guys...I have a feeling this is going to be good!

I haven't seen these pictures too!!! Yuzu is so good at making cute poses Hahas!!!

just a little side story, I received my photo book a few days ago and there's yuzu's printed hand written messages in the first and last page, then my mom saw them and commented that yuzu's handwriting is like a girl's (maybe because it's small and tidy?) [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

I've seen similar comments, though he always has to make sure his handwriting looks comprehensible to his fans :) Probably it's uncommon for a guy to have a beautiful and neat handwriting. I guess his hardworking nature played a role, making him write tidy at school every day

And I think people usually associate small hand writing with girls Hahas!! Not only tidiness

And yeah, I guess he decided to go for SEIMEI in the ice shows to have a solid 3rd quad by the time the competitions came around. And, I think it was gyzf who said it could be that, because it's a Japanese-themed program, he may have wanted to show it to the Japanese audiences first.

I think he wanted to do SEIMEI rather than the SP for the ice shows in Japan because it's Japanese themed and he wants the Japanese audience to see it. He may want to practice the 3 quad program but that was also his plan for last season and we didn't see POTO during the shows last season.

People are proud of their cultural heritage. Yuzuru is proud of his Japanese heritage. I think it's natural that he wanted to show SEIMEI to the Japanese audience first if he had the chance. I believe SEIMEI is a very special program to him. Kiches has a good point. Yuzuru also planned to have a 3 quad program last season, but he didn't show his POTO at DOI last season. So I do believe his main motivation for performing SEIMEI at DOI is to show this program to the Japanese audience.

But I also think he was practicing his 3 quads layout during ice shows. He didn't have to perform SEIMEI so many times in ice shows if he only wanted the Japanes audience to see the program. He performed more than necessary. Since he already decided to perform SEIMEI in ice shows, he might as well use the ice shows for practice as well. So I think the primary reason for performing SEIMEI in ice shows is to show the program to the Japanese audience and the secondary reason is to practice his 3 quad layout.

Maybe Believe? Che'Nelle has an English version of the song

I've been trying to find the English version for Believe but so far I've only found a Chinese version. I still think Requiem will be his exhibition, the costume itself was so elaborate compared to the orange costume for Believe, and it seems to have a very special meaning for him.

He might have 2 EX, kinda like the 2012-2013 season. He might perform Believe in SC, GPF, 4CC and Worlds and Requiem in NHK, and Nationals? Not quite sure.

But I agree, I think Requiem is waaayyyy too important and special to him than to just perform it once or twice ;)

I love yuzu in this video! Yeah, the lady was excited that he was handsome. When he was pointed out he was tall, he denied it right away saying it was because he put ice shoes!:laugh2:

I was about to (again) ask for a translation. Thank you hamaguri for the translation and Lindacrow for the link.

And yes, even if I don't understand Japanese, I can see the female reporter was starstruck by Yuzuru and apparently still has not recovered when she was talking about him to her male colleagues back in the studio. :)

Personally I don't think he will perform Requiem abroad as this program is very personal and it seems very Japanese oriented. He might think since this program is dedicated to the earthquake, international audiences who have no sense of the background of the program might find it hard to understand. I think he will use Hello I Love your and Vertigo outside of Japan.

 Seriously, that was a concern of mine too, so I was thinking that if pressed for time, for Yuzuru to retain "Ballade" would not necessarily be a bad thing (an understatement I know ). Anyway, thank you to Jeffrey for being on the ball.

I am also curious if Yuzuru will again go for the quad in the second half of his SP. If he is and considering the three-quad layout of his FP, he will really have to be in the best shape of his life for the coming season. I think he can do it and that we will see in this quad the peak of his technical and artistic development.

Thanks everyone for all the updates and links. It's an official holiday in my country, sending warm greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters of a Happy and Blessed Eid! :)

thnks! wishing Blessed Eid as well :)

about Chopin, he has unfinished business with it so i am sure we will see it as an EX number  and he already said he will go for quad at 2nd half for SP right?

yes, I don't know why he is pushing this but I guess it's preparation for 2 quads SP in seasons to come with opening quad sal and 4T in 2nd half of SP

I love yuzu in this video too!! I want to be the reporter!! I guess I won't be able to do my interview properly if I were.to meet him and talk to him like this!! Its totally understandable!!

you are right. she should be professional as announcer, but she was totally overwhelmed by yuzu when she saw him face to face and couldn't speak properly! (thank you @maria. bless you, Eid:)!)

me too! and isn't it funny he felt shy although he should get used to being praised that he is handsome?:laugh2:

Thanks for the info. Not surprised he will go for that second half quad. :) I just hope that Jeffrey's choreography and the "rhythmic" music in the SP are designed to help him out there.

If and when he does quad sal and quad toe in his SP, I want his jump combination to be 3A-3T. For me, it's simply not a Yuzuru program without his triple axel.

3A combinations in SP are disallowed despite I don't know why since points wise it would be the same as 3lz3T or 4T3T so he will have to do 4S3T or 4T3T

I see, thanks for the info. Much as I love his quads, I'll miss seeing his triple axel if he won't be able to include it in his SP. :( I understand though that he'll want to do the most he can points wise within the rules.
