What is there to improve? crappy, indeed.
Your musical combination strikes me as perfect for her. In the beginning we hear darkness, stillness, everything is suspended, then a few echoing fragments are heard. It is sad, tender and numb. It is the sound of a broken heart. Then we hear energy beneath this suspension, and a chorus of female voices (perhaps children's voices?) begins to shape notes into a coherent melody. This builds with determination, propels forward, then those odd little scales, then it resumes with strength, optimism and triumph. It ends on octaves, which are like a blank page (the future can go anywhere). This music is Yulia's story beginning with the confusion of the CofC debacle, till now. Even the female voices are an image of her experience. Performances are always enhanced when they are autobiographical. I hope her choice is this personal.

Wow she is still very young I don't know if one day I will see her as a coach. Maybe I will root for her students as well. Or maybe she will become a spin specialist?
