The US Open finale still has me shaking, but I managed to watch a few videos before it started

Y/M were great. Even more thinking they were cautious.

I/Z ugh Nothing to say tecnically speaking, but that programs is awful. That We will rock you part looks quite dumb, I mean, what were they thinking? I'm not a fan of the couple, but I still have a soft spot for Elena so hoping for a better fd:hopelessness:

V/T I will never be a fan, their choreos are just so plain and cheesy

Pitkeev well that came unexpected. Best program of the day, even though it was just a few inches away from turning into a striptease

Lipnitskaya another suprise, never liked her, always thought she had good choreographies but she was just not good enough to skate to them, or at least, I never liked/felt her interpretation. Now she seems better, more mature, more conscious, very good to see. Also, if she finally ditches those fugly over tretched spins, she can become quite pleasant to watch.

Queen Tuk looks good, I like the program, it will grow. I wonder if she'll try to get back to the 3Lz3T, I miss it

When Stolbova/Klimov withdrew from Worlds' to work on next (now this) season's programs and more difficult elements, people resorted to all kinds of theories to explain the peculiarity. One being, of course, that Ksenia must be pregnant.

Gachinsky, Gorshkov, Kolyada, Dmitriev, Shulepov but none are at test skates so it may just go to Moris. Maybe they will still throw it to Gachinsky since he was at least invited to participate in test skates.

don't know. Can't think of any reason that all of the Men's reserve team except Moris and Gachinsky (who didn't show up) were not included in list of athletes to skate in Sochi. They all seem in good health a week or 2 ago. Also no Artemieva, Z/G, nothing is mentioned why they are not there as well.

Artemieva is the only one I guess with a GP assignment who isn't there besides the obvious (Kovtun, S/K).

I can imagine why Z&G weren't there. Maybe Russian FED doesn't want to make that moron of the French Fed more angry but yeah, I'm surprised with Artemieva not being there also. I really wanted to see her programs too. I like that girl.

Maybe they will just give it to Gachinsky since Moris is in or near the top 5 substitute list? Gachinsky would have a hard time getting anything since he a ways off.

I didn't realize the deadline for host picks was that soon...yeah, I'd say Moris has a good chance of getting the 2nd assignment in that case.

I've only had time to watch the Ladies but...

Julia: Glad she finally decided to step away from the slow and quiet songs
Adelina: Like the music but seriusly Adelina as my favorite skater YOU HAVE TO GET A GRIP
Elena: Her last year SP was so good but now this is like deterioration, honestly they should've reused that one
Anna: I LOVE THE MUSIC, probably the best so far, can't decide if last year was better or this one, however she needs a coaching change more than anyone else.
Elizaveta: Jumps still look good but seriously change the color of the dress and maybe even the dress itself... Bolero, in my opinion was better than this but in comp maybe it'll be different.
Evegenia: Well clearly she hasn't reached her growth spurt yet and doesn't seem like she will this season, but love the music and this program works!!

As a whole, I've noticed that Step Sequences have really deteriorated from what they were in the past. They've gotten really slow and everyone puts them in places where they don't belong.... Don't get me wrong I love the sequences in the middle or beginning of a program, but when you start your Step Sequence with a spin and then end it with a spin? Come on, don't slow it down, speed it up!!!

Based on the SP, seems like we'll have Elizaveta, Elena, and Evgenia as the top 3 (Triple E Team O_O) with Anna and Julia as the reserves... But we have to wait until competition to see what it's really like but honestly I don't see it changing since the E team have the most consistency with the most difficulty. My say is that the Era of Russian Headcases has ended!! (Thank goodness) But it saddens me to think that we most likely wont see Adelina, Julia, and Anna in the latter part of the season. What are your all's thoughts?
