Yulia Lipnitskaya

Your first post here makes me laugh a lot... Actually I agree with you on some points, but many of her devoted fans love her too much to bring their strong emotions under control whenever someone expressed different opinions in her thread, just like those Russian fans who are going at it hammer and tongs over the news that Julia planned to prepare her first GP event in the US under the guidance of Zueva. Julia's current state is not all about her nerves of steel or outside pressure, and people's blind love for her is in fact preventing her from seeing very clearly at what position she is now. Just take it easy, and it will not be the end of the world even though your unremitting efforts end in failure. This is my sincere advice for Julia.

Yes. You are absolutelly right. Laughing prolongs life :-)

I read this interview two times and can not find there anything bad. What is problem with that?
Problem with that is that you read this interview two times and you could not find anything bad there. :sarcasm:

Wouldnt it be better to write where you have found anything bad? The only think I can critisize (which I dont want to do) is that there was almost nothing new... especially about Yulia.

I vote we don't talk about Ilya any more in this thread

The fan fest threads are intended for people who want to celebrate and support their favorite skaters. It's a place for positive discussions.

Someone could start a "profound thoughts by Ilya" thread and we can all be enlightened there ... Zzzzz

I would have an essay about 'professionalism of the PR-savvy' to contribute there. But, I'll save it for when someone actually gets bored enough to start thread:laugh:

In the mean time, can we please talk about our baby girl's mad drawing skills!

wow.....did she really do that?

My only true artistic talent is with music. For some reason I just understand and can really feel music and have spent most of my life writing songs and collaborating with people to make them. Drawing is just a skill that I do not have. In fact most visual art is off the table for me although I've been trying my hand at editing videos for not only figure skating fans but I'm slowly incorporating it into my work. I would have never started editing video's had it not been for the inspiration felt from Julia. She is 100% responsible for bringing me back to this sport and ultimately to making fan videos. Now in return I've scored a promotion at work and get the opportunity to do work in the marketing and social media departments at my job. Inspiration is what you make of it and really is the fuel that shapes and powers who we are.

I believe someone said Vladislav from Eteri's group

Haha too cute... The girl seems is living and breathing into her programs.

From Elvis's Can't help but fall in love in the short :o:, and that FS = now pour all that 'love' and 'longing' into your FS girl!! Let Magic happen due to the power of love!

Alba and everyone else, I am sorry that I am hijacking this thread but recently I was trying to remember where on goldenskate a google docs link was posted that had Sochi programs with Lipnitskaya and many others. Were you the one who posted that, Alba? If yes, could you tell me what thread to look in? Thanks. :)

I don't know if this is what you're looking for or if the links in there even still work. Maybe what you seek is within this thread though.

Now let's hear some kind words about Julia in return :)

Thanks so much, Sam. As to kind words about Julia, they are not needed. I have always loved her skating and immediately saw a future Olympic champion in her since the first time I saw her at Russian nationals (when she was 12). :) I can only hope that she will rise again this year. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
