No one understands. I don't even think the organizers understand. I have the image in my head of the referee sitting with a stack of papers and an abacus going :think: :shrug:
 
We have pictures!
We have audio!
We have skaters on the ice warming up!

But will we have scoring?

This is crazy...they should just buy all the skaters pizzas after and throw them a party in return for their trouble. :p

Or give them ridiculously inflated PCS and ignore any possible edge calls when they finally do score them. :p

Or anyone tweeted or somesuch from the audience?

Don't hit me if I am miss informed, but based on what I know - a judge also has to sign a piece of paper with elements for every skater. I don't exactly know what they fill out on these papers, but as far I know every element is listed and a section for the score.

That's my guess, personally. That snippet I posted was as much as I found on the youtube live chat. It sounds like no one there speaks fluent English, so I am sure that is contributing to matters. But from what they said, the "calc. system" was broken, I'm guessing the judges are working with pen and paper. Although I did see computer screens at one point, so perhaps it is allowing them to record but not calculating final scores or doing the whole drop the outlying scores, etc., bit. Either way, it's frustrating for all involved, and surely most of all for the skaters. I hope this doesn't throw them all off.
