Looking at what we saw at Finlandia today, if RusLena can really polish their programs, and master their technique, the sky's the limit for these two this year. Hoping and praying they remain healthy!!!

They could have won it. I`m disappointed in most free dances I`ve seen and in retrospective the FDs from C/B and B/S don`t look bad compared to the other top teams. I/Z`s Frida is the only program I`ve seen , that really moved me. After seeing most of all top teams, I can`t believe people think Elena is not in form.
Anyway one week until Saransk. Yay!

I always rewatch their Queen SD after watching a competition Honestly, the programs weren`t in bad shape for September and I can`t wait to see how they look like after 1 month of polishing them.

All top the teams' programms so far are pretty dissapointing, especially FDs. The door on the podium is wide open, in my opinion. It's up to russian teams and maybe Cappellini/Lanotte to skate well. I actually can see any combination of teams on 2nd and 3rd places, but it will be incredibly hard to beat Chock/Bates on their home ice this time.

Yes, I think everything is lining up for C/B to win worlds this year, but the field looks very open, to me. I thought W/P looked very beatable this weekend. All the teams have advantages and disadvantages, but ruslena's chances this season look very good.

In muscle you mean? Because it does look like he worked out a lot over the summer. I don't think he's gotten fatter, though.

Lol, no. It`s definitely muscles he gained.

I also think that Ruslena`s chances look good. IMO, them, B/S and C/L have the best programs so far. I`m curious what P/C will show this season, I hope Gaby`s recovery is going well.
It seems to me that after P/C`s success last year, a lot of teams went into panic mode and these programs are a result of this. I was one of those people that wanted Ruslena to work with Peter Tchernyshev, but after seeing what he gave to the Shibs and W/P this year, I`m glad Ruslena went to Antonio again.

I agree, I need some sort of visible story in a dance and I'm not getting that from C/B and W/P. I really like the Shibs's dance but unfortunately they have a terrible coach in terms of getting levels. So to me also I like Ruslena and B/S free dances best. I'm not quite sure how I feel about C/L because I'm kinda over them so I haven't tried looking at their FD without bias
Either way, this makes me super excited for GP season, I have the feeling it's gonna be super close between a bunch of teams!

I think C/L pretty much achieved their maximum and are now doing what they are best in. IMO, they are one of those couples that will take advantage if other teams falter, but will soon fall behind younger and more talented teams, if everyone is clean.

Anyway, so excited for Saransk and the beginning of the GPs, which is in 11 days! The ice dance competition is becoming so unpredictable, any team can win at any time.
