So, Elena and Ruslan will be skating in the first group as third, B/S will be the first in the second group. I think the start order doesn`t mean much here, since it`s pretty much clear that the win is between B/S and I/Z.

I love her hair, she really looks like Frida. Not so sure about Ruslan`s outfit, the simple costume does enhance his lines, but I think he needs more color. Anyway, last year, they changed their costumes a few times throughout the season. Maybe those are only one idea they had?

Hopefully so... Because I am laughing at Ruslan's back so hard.
 
I LOVE the flowers in her hair & the braids. Not so sure about Ruslan's, but it's hard to know how to costume Diego, because he looks a mess in all of the photographs of him. I think the painting they've used is Sun and Life.

I mean let's face it, Elena could be costumed in a paper bag and look drop dead gorgeous and perfect. I like Ruslan's though I think it compliments her well and that it's actually kind of nice that the front is just black and then the back is colorful- it is like a surprise.
 
I'm not 100% about the costumes, but they're not bad. I might make the skirt a little shorter-I think that would be a slightly more flattering length on her- and maybe instead of the painting on his back, go for some kind of design in colors that match the ones on her skirt? Maybe some color on her top too. As is there feels like a little too much black. I think I like this flower crown better than the other one though, and the braid is great. And they definitely want to show off Ruslan's lines. I wonder what the SD costumes are like?

This is my burning question too...

I think they made it be a sun on his back on purpose instead of just colors to be the painting uhh mentioned above. Like I've already said, I personally like it, but I'm sure if there is too much negative feedback they will change it as the season goes on.
 
I love her dress, but I agree that Ruslan's costume should be different. In my mind it should be something similar to what Guillaume Cizeron had last season in FD.
 
Lena looks great, perfect Frida costume. Ruslan looks good in black. The design on the back is Frida's painting Sun and Life, 1947.
 
Oh man. I don't like Ruslan's back at all. But I hope this painting has a role in the programm, maybe in some part of their 'static choreography'. Elena's dress looks good, I just wish the skirt was a tad longer. And the flowers on her head don't harmonize with her dress very well, in my opinion :scratch:

They look like artists, they compliment but don't match perfectly. I want to see how it looks on ice before commenting further. But in principle I think it suits them to a T!!
