Still, as golden411 says, I'm cautious about taking anything from this video other than that he's in good spirits, feels comfortable snapping his head up for a video, and can load a dishwasher. ;)

Well, it certainly doesn't hurt to make note of how pretty he is. ;)

I wonder how those poor Minsk girls would go now if he went back there. ;)
 
^I watch his Nationals one for the same effect. Mostly for the epic happyJosh face and epic Proud Papa Damon face at the end :laugh:

I wonder...I just plugged the lyrics into Google and the only thing that came up was Josh's tweet (and various retweets). So now I have a mental image of Josh sitting on his bed, strumming on his guitar and scribbling down emoJosh lyrics. :laugh:

(Outside the window, BatMax hangs, dutifully watching.)

And as a footnote to your image :), I would suppose that faithful BatMax was keeping an esp. protective eye on Josh holding down the fort by himself b/c Joe was away for the Autumn Classic.

Josh must be very proud that Joe/Karina and Angela are bringing home bronze medals from Canada :cool:. Congratulations to all.

I'm amazed and impressed that Josh and Joe have a place for themselves. I would think that they would still be living with family.

I'm really happy that Angela and Joe/Karina (as well as Sean Rabbitt) did as well as they did in the Autumn Classic. Hopefully it will be a good sign for U.S. Nationals.

Is there a story with Max and Josh? Or is it just that they have always been friends?

I have a feeling that our two young men wanted to be more independent - per a few Tweets earlier in the thread it seems this was a long standing plan for the "Bahdiez" (Josh, Joe, Lukas) to move out together at some point. I think Lukas ended up staying at home, but it definitely seems Josh and Joe continued with the plan.

Well, they have always been friends, but not that long ago Joe tweeted that he had woken Josh at 6am to chase a bat out of their apartment. Around the same time in the US men thread there was some Batman discussion, whereupon photos of BabyMax dressed as Batman appeared, thus, BatMax...

I will add my two cents to karne's excellent response:

Joe's tweet did not mention summoning anyone else other than Josh to chase the bat out :laugh:, but I guess I can't (AFAIK) 100% exclude the possibility that they share the house with family members or other skaters/peers.
So it is true that I was making an assumption (but not unreasonable assumption, IMHO) that Josh would be at home alone in Joe's absence.
In any case, I still love the imagery of BatMax at the ready outside the window in case Josh needs anything.

karne already has addressed the origin of BatMax.
On the more general subject of the Josh/Max friendship, they have given us lots of examples of same. Here is just one random photo of them that I like:

And yes, I look forward to cheering again :yay: for Sean (although I did not mention him previously in this thread) + Joe/Karina + Angela. Thanks to them, the Autumn Classic was unexpectedly exciting for me.

That is seriously one of the worst Halloween costumes Josh could have ever come up with.

Well, the men's SP is over at Skate Canada. Seeing the performances and scores made me sad that Josh wasn't well enough to skate here. :(

Didn't he score in the mid-80s at 2015 4CC without a quad? Assuming that he would have skated well, he could have placed well here. I hope if he sees these scores it motivates him to continue his recovery as well as he can.

It's still so sad he's missing the GP this season. It sounds silly, but whenever anyone brings up American skaters on GS I find myself worrying about what state of health Josh is currently in :no:
 
I'm actually glad Josh isn't at SC. It's kind of like being retrospectively glad he didn't get to go to CoC last year too.

If the retweets are an indication he's at least in good spirits. But being Josh, I doubt we'll hear much from him for a while.
