Yuzu may not be where he likes to be, but he is where he needs to be, silver here will make him good and angry for the rest of the season.

Love your way of thinking! Yuzu's where he needs to be at the moment, I think it's good to be in 2nd place at the first GP of the season so he can be extra competitive for the NHK.

For the overall event, I can't believe I actually watched the men's FS live tonight! I usually distract myself during the supposed time skating is happening and check in to see the scores and who won afterwards. Skate Canada this year was sure super exciting since the top 3 men all delivered (Patrick, Yuzu, Dai). Congrats to Yuzuru completing 3 quads in the FS today, he seemed totally focused while skating throughout the whole program and fought his hardest towards the end from the second half.

And I really like watching his English interview! He seems so genuine when explaining things.

Papa Orser is a saint to be able to understand him all this time...(okay okay don't kill me, his pronunciation is good but I would not have understand what he is trying to get at ) Speaking of which, Papa Orser's 4 kids had a bad day at SP yesterday, but all did well today! I was thinking about this after the ladies event and hoping that it will continue...and it did! Now did they all took the same kind of comeback pill or something?

Wow, he's never spoken so much English in a press conference. I'm proud of our boy! His accent is much better... and he's just so darn cute!

He still has a lot of work to do before that FS can reach its potential (similar to practice quality or better) in competition but yes, regardless of the situation his InaB is always beautiful :

Great job from Yuzu today, I think from here he can only go up. He let a few details go during the free and ran out of gas a bit at the end, but I think with time both Chopin and Seimei will get to where they need to be for him to take the GPF and Worlds.

Anyone have a copy of the FS video dowloaded they can share? I've found videos still on dailymotion but I can't seem to save anything and I'd love to save and re-watch.

Also, A+ for effort on his English during the press conference. It's come a long way.

Thank you! I am actually unable to watch any of his FS on youtube because of a Sony Japan copyright on the music, making it unavailable in my country. I wish they would at least mute the music like the one thread posted on the Edge, but they completely block the video :scowl:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I just managed to watch yuzu skate and it is absolutely brilliant considering what happened yesterday!!!! Everything was good but the fall on the lutz (it's lutz right?) really literally shocked me, it's kinda sudden or unexpected? So happy for him!! Not only did he get onto the podium, but even got a silver!! Yeepee!!!!

I still don't understand how Patrick scored 190.33 with one quad and one triple axel while Yuzuru only scored 186.29 and he did 3 quads and 2 triple axels? I know Yuzuru wasn't at his best, I've noticed he was a bit slow across the ice, but why wasn't he at his best? he is doing so well in practice but when it comes to the actual competition he is not really giving it 100%. He still has problems with the his lutz and stamina!. The most annoying thing about all of this is that Patrick's program didn't seem nearly as tiring nor as demanding as Yuzu's and still got much higher PCS!
