Good luck to our fierce Elena at Cup of China!!! I can't say I love her programs based on the test skate, but I know she will perform her heart out as she always does!! Maybe she will change my mind about the Titanic too...

Lena looks so serious...

I saw on some Russian forums that *SUPPOSEDLY* Inna Goncharenko (Lena's coach) is NOT in China with her, because she had to be hospitalized suddenly. :sad14: However, I haven't seen any news articles with this story, so it's quite possible it's a false rumor....
Has anyone else heard something about this?? :confused2:

Sadly, I don't know any update about Team Goncharenko :( but i hope she's fine

Wishing all the three ladies the best of luck tomorrow! I hope Elena R's health issues haven't impacted her preparation for COC in a negative way.

Where did you see the info about Goncharenko? Could you post a link? Googling has turned up nothing, either in a general search or in news, so I very much hope that there's been some mistake.

I hope this is not true. Would hate for Inna Goncharenko to be having health issues because that would be sad for her. It might also be distracting for Lena.
 
Same thing was reported on FSO too, looks like it's true.
Apparently it was sudden because the day before she was admitted to hospital, Goncharenko was at work.

As for the practices Elena was skating very well, high-class skating but only parts of her program.

Well it is good Dmitriev is with her, they seem to have a good relationship and I am sure he is up to the task, though no substitute for Goncharenko since she and Elena do seem to have a special relationship.

I hope that Goncharenko's illness will not impact Elena negatively and instead that Elena will be able to 'skate for' Goncharenko. I also very much hope that whatever is going on Goncharenko will recover quickly and fully!!!

And I do hope, that her illness is not serious! Goncharenko is very strong woman, especially taking into consideration, what desease she managed to overcome!
 
Grrr! I will be at work when the competition starts:dev2: Wishing Lena all good luck! Maybe me not watching her might help even, so she won't fall, trip or something:cheer2: No jinx, more wins:)
