I agree. She needs time to work through whatever the problem is - and we fans will be here to support her while she does. Others may give up on Liza - but we won't.

As usual thank you, adelia, for updating the news! Recently I have no time to read through all these news and comments here. Good luck to everybody here, and above all GOOD LUCK to Liza in future competitions.More on TEB:
"FFKKR sent to the ISU its proposal to withdraw from the situation, which refers to the need to offset glasses competitors Bordeaux for the short program, but at the same time increase the number of finalists for the Grand Prix in each discipline up to eight people - the additional two participants in this case will be determined rated and only the athletes who spoke in Bordeaux.
"Some federations have made their proposals, we have made their own. Our proposal is already supported by the majority of countries whose athletes participate in the Grand Prix," - said Kogan told reporters."

Still more:
"President Alexander Gorshkov FFKKR commented on the selection of the skaters in the final of the Grand Prix.
"Immediately after the announcement of the cancellation of any rental program at the Grand Prix in Bordeaux, ISU was sent a letter with our proposals. The first - to count the results of the short program at the Grand Prix in Bordeaux as totals. The second - to increase the number of participants in the final Grand Prix to eight, instead of six. As additional participants to consider only those who acted in Bordeaux based on the results after 6 stages of the series.
If the athlete or pair - participants of the Grand Prix in Bordeaux at the end of the last stage in Japan occupied seventh or eighth place, they are in the final Grand Prix. Thus, in some species can be 6 finalists, and in some 7 or 8. Our proposal already supported by other countries - the organizers of the steps that have also made their proposals.
In the near future decision on this matter should be taken by the ISU Council. The fact that the start numbers of participants stages are determined in accordance and depending on the ranking of athletes. Since the Moscow tournament involving skaters, who started in Bordeaux, by the beginning of "Rostelecom Cup" in this matter should be clarified, "- said Alexander Gorshkov."

hmm yeah maybe u're right & its mainly a mental problemThen she wouldn't have been able to do a clean run through. IMO, it's more of a mental block. All of the great 3A jumpers (Midori, Mao, Tonya) has suffered similar mental blocks. And like them before her, Liza will overcome any roadblock and have a successful competition. Hopefully, sooner rather than later.

Have you found a way to watch the Mishin interview?btw Im still trying to conquer the blocked vid without installing anonymizer

Liza has been added to the entries list for Warsaw Cup:

Weak, weak field. It's going to be a walk in the park for her.Wonderful![]()
It was a late entry, the deadline was officially Nov 4th but they made an exception.
Yeah, I was thinking that the deadlines of all the possible competitions between now and Nationals - it's in little over a month, after all - would have passed. I'm glad they found this option for her.
Well, we'll see how everything shakes down. I'm sad for Liza and don't think counting only SP results is "fair," per se, but 6+1 seems like the most reasonable compromise under the situation. It's unfeasible to gather the skaters together again to skate an LP... Sometimes there are more worrisome things in this world...
Meanwhile, let's cheer for Liza at Warsaw Cup! I just want to see a semi-clean version of that SP (or maybe a change to "I Put a Spell on You") + see Liza performing the heck out of that LP.
I agree with everything - barring that. I think there is quite sufficient spellcasting going on this season as is - we don't need another one....
Looks like Russian media has interpreted it wrongly.Regarding GPF qualification, there are some articles in Russian that interpret the "7th skater" to mean the highest placed TEB skater outside of the top 6 on the GP rankings. If so, that would indicate that Liza is through to the GPF. However ISU have yet to issue an official Communication about this, so we will just have to wait and see if this is accurate.

any first Substitute Skater/Couple (placed 7th in the above-mentioned 2015/16 Grand Prix ranking) will be invited to join the qualified Skaters/Couples, provided that this/these Competitor(s) has/have skated the Short Program/Short Dance at the event in Bordeaux.Looks like Russian media has interpreted it wrongly.
This is the official Communication from ISU (thanks Meoima): http://static.isu.org/media/1012/1980-isu-gp-fra-2015-partial-cancelation-info-to-members-public.pdf
Liza must finish 7th on the GP rankings after NHK to qualify for GPF. At present moment, Liza is 5th with Mao, Ashley, Satoko and Anna still to skate at NHK.
