I can almost guarantee that there won't be much notice when this happens. I'll do my best to keep everyone informed, but I'd advise checking ticketmaster daily.That's good to hear! I'm hoping to snag two premium tickets. So they'll be ready to go around next week? Will we get a 24 hour notice or a specific time of when the next batch of tickets will be released? I'm sorry but I have to address this. I don't know if that person buys direct or through a tour group operator, but we treat everyone fairly and I guarantee you that no one in the general public had front row seats reserved prior to placing their order directly with Andrew. In 2014 it was similar with order requests being time/date stamped.BTW, a certain person who you would all recognize instantly who sits in the front row at all events and I had a conversation about how he always got the best seats....he shmoozes.....he chats up certain people in the arenas and LOCs around the country and gets dibs on the best seats.....you and I might put in our requests on the first day of ticket sales for the first row, along with lots of other people....but he always gets them.....

Any restaurants close to TD Garden that you would recommend for a quick meal? Coffee shops or other neat places to just hang out? I figure I won't have too much time to eat, but when I do, I'll want it to be delicious!

I made the view full screen to try and see what it's like to sit in certain sections. Since it seems to be a fisheye camera, I'm assuming the view on my computer screen is slightly better than in real life. Is that true?
Also, has anyone ever bought figure skating tickets from resale websites? I'm really trying to buy ladies free skate tickets, but they are all sold out on the official page. Is it safe to try looking for tickets through other people or websites?

I have not purchased figure skating tickets on the secondary market but I have purchased baseball tickets through stubhub and vivid. It is safe using those sites as they put protections in place for buyer and seller. In fact in many cases they will electronically transfer the ticket once you enter payment information. That way a new bar code number is issued which keeps the ticket from being sold multiple times.
I want to buy a better seat than my balcony seat for the ladies final, but the ticket prices I see are a little to rich for my blood so I am going to wait it out. My experience is as the event gets closer the scalper prices fall. It is easy for me to do because I have a ticket to the event and if push comes to shove I sit in my balcony seat. If you feel comfortable chancing it you can wait a bit and prices are likely to fall.

In your experience, how much cheaper do the event tickets become? I'm also assuming that if I wait it out a few more months, the only locations of the tickets would be balcony seats... And I would rather have them elsewhere (although I wouldn't mind balcony if they were my only option). I've gotten a bit weary of second-hand ticket websites since I've never purchased anything through there, but it's good to see that you've had no trouble purchasing tickets that way

I forget which day has a longer break than the others so your best bet is use that time in the North End. There's also a public market about 5-7 minutes away from the venue with some food options but pricey. It's a good last option if you don't have time for the North End. Further down is Saus, a Belgian frites & waffles place with German beers.

Check with your hotel if it's closer to the Museum of the Science stop （the stop before Lechmere）, if it's about the same distence， I would get off at the Museum of the Science instead. As for breakfast, there's Dunkin' Donuts and McDonald's inside the North Station (not sure that's what you want instead of hotel breakfast
), keep in mind the place can be high traffic during rush hours (before 9:00am, 4:30-6:30pm). Maybe someone from that area can point you some good Breakfast & Brunch place outside the North Station.

Curiouosly, google maps walking distance has both T stops about equadistant from my hotel....and If I walk to the Science park, I am only 1000 ft from the TD......I will check out the routes on google street view....
McDonalds would be a place of last resort.... I will email/whatever my hotel and see about their cafe, hours, etc....there is something called the "ArtBar" near or in my hotel that has a good, early breakfast, so if that is still there, that is great....

At nats in Boston, there was no problem finding places to eat lunch and dinner.....breakfast is alittle harder but there is a place curiously called the ArtBar next to my hotel that has a full breakfast at an early hour...just the thing for those skating fans who hunger for early morning practices!
I have bought and sold on vivid and stubhub. Perfectly safe. Hard to say how much the prices will fall because there is such a range in prices listed and some are crazy. Some of those prices will likely come down by several hundred dollars. Early on when tickets for an event hit the market scalpers get greedy and set high because a lot of people who really want to go will pay the crazy prices. Plus there is always the possibility that a normal person who has tickets and won't be able to go might list their tickets. It's easier when you live in the city where the event is scheduled because you don't have to do as much planning and can wait even two hours before the event a get a really good deal. I am willing to chance it since I have a ticket and really don't have $500 to spend on the ladies event with all of my other expenses for the event.
If you have the cash and worry about not being able to get the seats you want go for it and feel safe and confident with the transaction. Just make sure you do it through one of the sites that offer guarantees on your purchase and not something like craigslist.

I am not sayin' this happened at THIS particular event. I am sure Andrew is as honest as the day is long.......this person, like me, is a member of USFS and gets first pick at many events in that we can get in our order before others at many events. I suspect our friend gets an inside track on exactly WHEN ticket sales go live to the USFS folk and he is primed and cocked at his fax machine to get an early time stamp. I know many times I have been surprised when I hear the ticket sales are on for us USFS members and we may only have a few days advanced notice if that....but his wife assures me he has many contacts he has developed over the many decades they have been going.....there IS a certain tour operator who will remain nameless who absolutely gives his best tickets to his best customers....and the better customer you are, the better the tickets you get...he told me that himself....

This stubhub business is interesting. For instance, NO ONE has any paper tickets at this point. Andrew told me they are almost ready to start printing...in the final stages, anyway.....and yet stubhub can offer tickets....I have no idea how they can electronically transfer tickets at this point. If someone wanted to play electronic chicken in this game, to get a better seat for an event, for instance, they would have to consider when to sell their own ticket and buy another leaving enough time for the transfers. Cant remember if Boston allows this, but there may be people selling tickets outside the box office for valid reasons....I have no idea how you would tell if they are counterfeit....

Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster had the choice of being printed electronically and they are transferable. All Event ticket purchasers through the LOC will have custom World tickets sent to them in early to mid January. Those are transferable as well.
A local outlet for tickets is Ace Tickets. No idea what they are reselling for, but they are reliable and have an outlet near the Garden.

Good to know! I am not a gala person but some I like to see.....but I think I will see if I can see the USS Constitution on Sunday and do some walking....
The USS Constitution is in dry dock and won't be available for viewing until later in 2016.

yeah in japan there's a black market for skating tickets lol. i know it's especially popular with their ice shows, not sure how it works for out-of-japan events. i remember meryl davis mentioning how sometimes she sees the exact same fans at all of the ice shows, in the same front row seats. even though the shows are supposed to be the same. it's crazy man. not sure if it's legal or not but it happens.
I just purchased a front row Loge seat for the Ex gala. Still not sure how I got it (feels surreal and a bit light headed right now). When I refreshed the page about 10 min ago that seat was available on ticketmaster. I don't think any other seat was added at this point. Hopefully more will be added soon.
