good luck Yuzu, sweetie:luv17:

All those fangirl practice stories are s fascinating! he's the king!

He totally was, wasn't he  and I think he was actually gushing with Shoma about it. Little fanboys in action.

Yuzu: There he goes again, another perfect quadruple lutz.
Shoma: Such great speed and soft landing.
Yuzu: That's it! I'm gonna do quad lutz next season. I am gonna tell Brian.
Shoma: Me too.
Yuzu: I will get gold in Olympics and you can get silver.
Shoma: What? No I am getting gold and you get silver. Uno means one in Spanish. Hanyu means second.
Yuzu: Don't lie. Dos is second in Spanish. Javi taught me.
Shoma: Now where is Javi?
Yuzu: He's still sleeping.

Did anyone know the streaming link for the competition today?
I still can't believe we'll see 2015 GPF few hours from now omg

Eurosport will show GPF so you can check the Mens SP thread before the competition starts where posters provide many links.

Me thinks 100+ points in SP is gonna be the norm now for Hanyu.

Not only will it probably become the norm, like the high 90 score became during the Olympic season, I wouldn't be surprised if he broke the SP record this week, especially since his 4S wasn't completely clean last week.

The FS, on the other hand, is going to be very tough to beat without an upgrade in tech, because there really wasn't any more room to grow on the PCS side, and he got positive GOE on everything. Unless he manages a similar performance at the Olympics, and they shower him with +3 on everything... but that would be extremely difficult to do. I think that was the really amazing thing about Yuna, how she gradually climbed in scores and peaked perfectly for the 2010 Olympic games.

Anyways, can't wait for the competition to start!

On the other hand, in 2014 Olympics, a certain female skater's scores climbed .....

I am thinking of what else Yuzu can try to achieve before he retires:

1. First to have 4 Lo ratified in an ISU competition.

2. First to have 4 clean quadruples in FS (Is this achieved already? I think Boyang has not done it yet.)

3. First to have 5 clean quadruples in FS.

4. First to tag 4T in a combo jump. (Is this humanly possible? Which first jump would conserve enough momentum for a 4T to be tagged behind it?)

5. First to win 4 Olympic gold medals in men's figure skating. :yahoo:

You know being a bit superstitious ...we shouldn't jinx the kid :ghug:

I just noticed after watching practices... that they cover the brand of Yuzuru's practice underarmour same with Sota's as its the same brand... ^^;;

2. No one has done 4 quads in the FS yet, Yuzu was, IIRC, the first skater to land 5 quads in a single competition (NHK obviously)
4. Perhaps it would be possible but point wise, I'm not sure how convenient it would be. Quads get the highest GOEs out of any jump, and if the skater does a quad+quad combo, he loses the chance of having another jumping pass with the high GOEs quad offer. But well, we may see it at an ice show someday

Go Yuzu! :hap85: Wishing him a competition he's satisfied with. Something that has stood out for me during this practices is how deep his edges look, and so in control
