I am speechless. A dark, sublime, thought provoking program. To quote Akiko, this is a new Daisuke Takahashi. But it still has the old Takahashi's unique skating.

I was not expecting it but only half of the program is Lacrimosa. The first half is a mix of songs from Nico Muhly's Mothertongue album. The program looks and feels as if it's from a different world. It's almost redefining figure skating, taking it to a distant future.

It really is beautiful.
One question: do you think there will be a performance released with no commentary at any point? Why they have to talk after the music starts for non-competitive programmes... It is so annoying and distracting.

Maybe after the other broadcasts? I don't know for sure. Machida's "The Inheritor" program at Prince Ice World was released with no commentary and Christmas on Ice is also broadcasted by BS Japan.
But yikes, my recorder is almost full with Nationals starting very soon!
