Yulia Lipnitskaya

I missed Yulia's interview... :palmf:

Can someone post it, if there's a link on YT, PLEASE?! :(

(not that I understand Russian, but I want to understand her feelings :) )

Who else cried with her?! I'm all teary-eyed!!
I just cried seeing her program and more when I saw that she cried too !! She is so beautiful the changements of her program are perfect !! So happy !!! oh my god she just deserved it so much !!

So glad I woke up to this. If a month ago half of her fans were afraid of the coaching change, I think whatever happens tomorrow, we already saw the change. And it only made her better. A month and a half ago the lutz was a problem, all of her jumps in the SP were in the first half and she was completely out of confidence, and now? What a freaking difference.

I think she needed to cry, and we needed too. Thank God Urmanov took a chance on her and she didn't give up on her dreams!

EDIT: I just had to come back to say that, wow, Urmanov seems like a father to her in the way they behaved when she got out of the ice - that big hug right out out of the ice and then the kiss on the head after the score. It was so good to see that, I think, if there are some skaters that don't need that, Yulia probably was one who did need that kind of presence in her life. I'm just really happy with her and the coaching change and everything.

yes, it was very touching :)
the most important thing right now is that she feels a real support near to her, something that lately was a bit missing with Eteri (and I think this is the reason for the coach-change)

Yeah, I didn't really want to touch on that, but you could see there was a lot of difference in the way they both behave. But they are different people, you know? I don't know, they behave differently, I think even Urmanov could be a different coach if he had a ton students too, which probably forces you to get less involved with each one of them. And unfortunately, in a way it was obvious Yulia was not top priority, and maybe it's a bit of a star treatmen that she needs.

Anyway, it's a good thing Urmanov can give her that, because in a month we saw a world of difference in Yulia, and I hope it only gets better.

Yes, I dont think it's someone's fault to react the way he/she usually reacts, so I don't blame Eteri for it. It's obvious when you have so many talented girls to follow. Yulia was struggling for different reasons and she needed a particular attention that Eteri could not just give. That's all.

I'm SO GLAD to see the attention he's giving to Yulia in particular in her technical contents. The 'tano Lutz and the combo in the second half was something unexpected if you think at last months... Now I hope they will try for the free programme a lutz, a flip and in the second half two 2axel+3T combos. She's capable of this. The short programme revealed that it was only a "head problem".

I hope she'll get her ticket to Euros! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

I'm so ready for her first clean FS in God knows how long :)

The four most amazing ladies Russia has ever produced for this sport!

Yes, I was in tears with Julia! I just think that I love this girl so much for her determinance! Glad that everything is working very well with Urmanov. His attitude to Julia was so sweet and right after the scores were announced Julia gave him a very touching hug.

A very big kudos to Yulia and Urmanov. She looks to be in a better place mentally. Despite very little time together I see improvement in her jump posture, in take off and in landing. Her pick in looks much better as well. She even looks like they are re-working spins! She looks much invigorated! Well deserved congrats!

I think it was obvious it was a problem with her head, especially because a lot of people said she was going fine in the trainings, but I think she needed that push to work a bit more in her technique, and I didn't even know she had a lutz tano on her - I think it even could be a case like Serafima, where she needs the tano to stabilize her jumps. But I want to see her getting better, no matter what. Let's hope for a good FS.

I'm curious to know what she got for Lutz and spins, but I can't see the protocols anywhere

Thank god they brought back the leg extension into Ina Bauer after the 2a.

Im not sure what the FS will bring and if she can hold on to the podium or not but I've been waiting to say this for a very long time......

She's got that look in her eye again!!!

I loved it! The jumps look much better and I see a overall improvement, she's really into that program now, very enjoyable. Did she work with Zueva on the program in the last couple of weeks? If she didn't Urmanov did his work very well.
