Shoma and Sota

At 6:56,

Shoma:
I was told to cross arms each other, but I did not know how to do that first. I did like this (tried to put my arm through his), and he said, "That's a wedding!!" We laughed a lot.

:laugh2:

Yuzuru was teasing Shoma later by saying, "Why don't we go arm in arm?"
Shoma and Sota are adorable together, it's nice to see Shoma much more relaxed with his friend. He's still looking shy and abit awkward with his senior fellows, but it's only his first year, after all. At least, he said last year that he was grateful for Yuzu being there because he couldn't understand anything. The kid is still learning, hehe.
I can't wait for Sota to join him into Senior (I wonder when that will be... next year, maybe?). Seriously, it's hard to believe that they're a little more than 2 years appart in age, they both look the same age to me.:laugh2: I'd love a podium with Yuzu, Shoma and Sota at Nationals (no idea if Sota will be able to do it, considering Daisuke and Takahito, but we may never know. Ice is slippery...)

Thank you all for all the info here!
I've just now got around to watching the GPF Gala and had another shock - Shoma's ex, I thought it was not possible to be smitten more than I'd already been but he managed that alright - with my favourite Kreutzer Sonata, oh, Shoma, you are incredible. The only 'fault' of it is being too short but easily remedied by watching it again and again! Crying... no words, BESP guys speak for me: 'Genius. Outrageously talented'

I understand it was his sp last season, right?

I love Shoma's Kreutzer Sonata SP too.
I love the last spin of the JW that ioanna posted
Honestly, I wanted him to use this SP in this season again.

Here is another version with 4T in the 4CC, that is senior competition version, as no quad jump is allowed in junior SP.

Fuji TV's fluff on Shoma was on tonight.

I've just translated what Shoma said himself on the video.

(1:00) Little Shoma said after his skate at Nationals in 2011 that he doesn't get nervous once he stands on the rink because the audience takes away his nervousness.
(1:22) 17 year old Shoma says he loves competing at Nationals because the audience gets so excited.
(2:25) After seeing Yuzuru's scores at NHK Trophy, Shoma says that he is able to be in a position to chase.
(3:10) Shoma says he's still incomplete (midway) in everything. In the future, he wants to be a skater who can do everything extraordinarily.
(3:42) With his jumps, he's still working on the 2nd quad and it's not like he can land even one per day so it's not ready to be included in competition yet.
(3:52) With his expressions, he says he does everything with his right hand and his left hand is always resting. If he could stretch his left arm out also, his arms would look longer.
(4:15) He says that Yuzuru has demonstrated that if he polishes his performances, he can become like him (more like, he can achieve what he's aiming for).

Thank you, Mikaboo! Interesting point about his arms. His drive to improve is so admirable. If they could bottle that...

Nice save on that 4T (although even if he had fallen he would have still been in 2nd).

He took the 2nd. FP is 169.21.

But he tried to recover the 1st popped 4T in the last jump! (and failed and popped into 2T).
It’s almost certain he gets the spot for world. His attitude works good towards World, I believe:).

Wow, if he managed to do a 4T in the last jump, it might be the 'latest' quadruple in a FP.
