I would assume he means compulsory figures![]()
Ah yes that.. I've read about it before. It ghosted over in my mind but I can't place a 'name' or proper description for it into it. Thanks for the reference!

I think he would rather ditch the 3F and put the 4Lo in its stead. Doing a 4Lo at the end of the programme would be too risky. But anyway, I don't think he will try it at Worlds this year, but definitely next year![]()

4S
4T
4Lo
4T+3T
3A+2T
3A+1Lo+3S
3Lo (to turn into 3F if he pops the 4Lo into 3Lo)
3Lz
he can put 4Lo instead of 3F and move the 3F where he jumps the 3Lo
The reason why people speculate that the 3Lo will be first choice rather than 3F (despite 3F has higher BV than 3Lo) is that flip is Yuzu's least favorite jump.

I am equal parts excited and terrified for this to be his future layout

He is not someone who makes a decision based only on his likes and dislikes. If he only makes decision based on his dislikes, he would've dropped the 3F a long time ago. He makes decisions weighing the risk and reward. He spent the time fixing his 3F when the deduction for wrong edge increased. He is willing to spent time on practicing figures. This means he is willing to do things he doesn't like if he can gain more points and the reward he gains outweighs the risk and costs.
He is not an irrational person who makes decisions purely based on emotions. He is one of the most rational and strategic decision makers I've ever seen.

I have been thinking of something weird. What if Yuzu gets 4Lz and 4F and re-skate Evan Lysacek's quadless Olympic Free Skate, but turn all the triples to quads, retain the 3As and turn all the doubles into triples. I am so bad.![]()

Pffft. Made a mistake (accidental though) looking at the mens free thread :hslap: some people have so many times analyzing and (rather) complaining of the national inflation especially for Yuzu.. and enjoying it too much if I may say.
Maybe if they have that much time to spend, they should also do it to the Russian Nationals thread. (if they haven't yet)![]()
:handw:I can't even dream of it hahaha I could never watch it if he tried, I'd be too nervous. My dream is for him to win worlds with another NHK/GPF performance and then a nice chill summer with steady work on his 4Lo. And just as everyone else is thinking they can catch his scores he turns up like BOOM 4T, 4S, 4Lo and everyone is just![]()

I can imagine everything would happened again like dejavu:
1. Brian Orser shivers.
2. B.ESP guys ecstatic.
3. Grishin and TAT giving accolades.
4. Paloma and Susana from Spain have no words.
5. Dutch guys remain cool as cucumber.
6. Zhenya and Lena queueing to take pictures at banquet.
7. Another AN-AN magazine cover.
8. Yuzu says he needs to practice his step sequence.![]()

4S
4Lo
3F

4T
3A+3T
3A+1Lo+3S
3Lo
3Lz
Not sure if the point values would ultimately beat his current layout (too lazy to do the math) but at least this prevents him from zayaking
Where is the third combo?
