About next season's programs: I think if they want to take inspiration from ballet, the one choreographer that strikes me as being rather suited for I/Z is not Wheeldon, but Alexei Ratmansky. He's got a knack for theatricality and inventiveness that would serve Elena well, I think. His "Russian Seasons" and "Concerto DSCH" are something they could take for inspiration. Shostakovich could be a good composer for them in general, I know Romanova/Yaroshenko did a rather lackluster interpretation of "The Lady and the Hooligan" way back when, but I think that's also an interesting music choice that could work for I/Z. Or Frederick Ashton? "Marguerite and Armand", "A Month in the Country" and "Ondine" are stories and characters where I think Elena would excel. With Ondine they would have to use other music than the Henze score perhaps, which strikes me as rather inaccessible.
