2016 Canadian Nationals Senior Men FS

Question for the Canadians in the eastern time zones: Did CTV actually show the men's? We're 45 minutes into a 2 hr broadcast, and they're about to start the second pairs group. How will they fit in the mens'?

Yes. Just the top 5 (final flight).

Yes, there are 4 pairs and then 6 men.

Didn't they not include him at the Gala for Skate Canada?

Yes, they sure did leave him out. He must be so frustrated. I do think he will get to do the Team Challenge Cup though, so hopefully that'll be some consolation if they don't give him any other assignments.

The broadcast was 2.5 hours. The men were shown after the pairs

:noshake: I refuse to accept this as reality. I'm going to come back and find out that I'll see Nam in Boston. Okay? OK!

*Escapes back to the US ladies*

How on Earth was Liam better than Kevin and Nam????

Just in from the rink. Liam far far superior speed, flow, edges, basic skating, spins than either Kevin or Nam, and performed the hell out of his programme. Judges were if anything generous to Kevin and Nam over Nadeau and Messing. On the night his placing definitely earned. Whether he should go to worlds is another question.

I am running off to the always drama filled us ladies now :) want to forget about our men.

Congratulations to Patrick on his 8th Canadian Nationals title. Looking forward to seeing him at Worlds.

For Nam, I just saw his free skate at the delayed feed and saw he did fight to the end despite the stumble and two falls early in the program. He will come back from this. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I really like Nam and am very said that he didn't do better but he will come back fighting and stronger for it. I don't understand all the hate for Liam he definitely had better skating skills tonight deep edges and speed unlike Kevin and Nam. I hope this is the boost Liam needs and he proves us all wrong and he lands that triple axel at 4cc along with a triple triple.

I request that Kevin, Nam and Liam skate off at 4CC for the final spot. Let's see what the international judges think.

what is the Canadian fed policy for choosing the second spot? In Japan it's 1. Nats Winner, 2. Highest international ranking or scores 3. GP placement etc.
So what about canada? is it possible that Kevin could be sent...or Nam?

I think we all appreciate liam's skating skills, but I think the dislike is that he does not have the jumps, not even a 3/3 or 3a, nd historically bombs, big time, when he competes internationally where he does not get the same pcs as at home. Both nam and kevin have top 5 at worlds placements, which usually requires strong quad jumps, unless you are jason brown, and liam is definitely not.
