2015-16 Russian Qualifiers and other events

I apologize if this has been mentioned before however when is the Russian final to see if Tuktamysheva (or whoever) might be chosen for Worlds?

Final of Russian Cup, 16-20 Feb 2016, Saransk

Junior and Senior, Men, Ladies, Pairs, Dance.

List of competitors http://www.fsrussia.ru/files/docs/competitons/1516/cor1516_competitors.pdf

Alena Kostornaya (lost JrNats and qualifiers to Zhuk Memorial because of injury) will compete.

In Seniors no medalists of Nationals.
Medalist of JrNats Samarin competes as Senior.
Medalists of JrNats Savosin and Fedichkina compete as Juniors, Atakhanova/Spiridonov (Jr Pairs) and Loboda/Drozd, Popova/Vlasenko (Jr Dance) too.

No Tuktamysheva and Sotinkova in Senior Ladies, no Menshov in Senior Men.

Of course no skaters who compete at the same time at YOG (Aliev, Tsurskaya, Sotskova, Borisova/Sopot, Ustimkina/Volodin, Skoptsova/Aleshin, Spilevaya/Smirnov).

No "leaders of leaders" but strong, interesting skaters.
As always in Russia, very interesting Junior Ladies.

So glad to confirm Yulia is competing. And I think I saw Serafima's name in seniors... And Gubanova in juniors. I can't wait!

This.

If a skater didn't do so well at Junior Nationals how high would they have to place here in order to be on the JGP team for next season?

Not only Gubanova.

Tarusina.
Mitrofanova.
Konstantinova.
Kostornaya.
Tarakanova.
Mukhortova.
Mikhailova.
Zagitova.
Fedichkina.
Kurakova.
Platkova.

So many strong girls.
Only two (Kostornaya and Tarakanova) are not age eligible to JGP next season.

Top 3 is the best, top 6 is good.

Also treated are results of Nationals Elder Age and Zhuk Memorial, in the same manner.

Final decision is made by results of JrNats, Final of Russian Cup (Junior), Nats Younger Age (Zhuk Memorial), Nats Elder Age and test skate at early August before JGP.

Why is Pogorilaya not on the list? If they are going to replace her at Worlds, shouldn't they have her compete at this event to see how she scores and places compared to the other ladies in consideration? Scores can't be compared from event to event, and her Euros score can certainly not be compared to those at a Russian Cup competition.

I hope she doesn't get bumped from the World team if she isn't even allowed to compete at this event

She's going to Worlds.

I don't know what does RusFed think, but I see:
- No SrNats medalists in all four disciplines at Final of Russian Cup
- All JrNats medalists compete at Final of Russian Cup or YOG.

No Vygalova with her new partner, no Zakroev with his new partner. No Gainedtinova with her new partner (does she have anyone?) or Bobrov with his new partner (are they still together? They did one competition at the beginning of the season and since then nothing). No news about Beklemisheva either... I can't believe that they all lost the whole season.

Did they just delete the list of competitors..?? I wanted to check if there's Moris or Lazukin, but the link doesn't work for me.

Seems like they only have practice schedule for Pairs and Ice Dance (Jr/Sr) so there might be a change for Men/Ladies...
