That program shows the fact that

1. Satoko can switch to pairs if she wants
2. She can skate to any type of music she wants
3. Including kpop, like the Big Bang program with uncle Yamato :laugh:
 
watching CBC broadcast of 4CC for ladies and men, and Carol wants to choreograph an ice dance program for Satoko and Shoma, i am really curious if they are actually reading forums :laugh:
 
I was watching that too and she said they'd be the cutest dance team ever, lol.

I'm sure Carol Lane does because I remember one commentary where she said that in skating forums, Satoko is referred to as the "Tiny Queen." (That's definitely the case with GS, I don't know about the others. ;))

I agree with everything Kurt and Carol are saying in this video. Also at some point Kurt called her a "small queen" and Carol said "she is a queen because she originally jumped in the opposite direction and in Japan you're not allowed to do that" and I was like did they read my posts on this forum :laugh:

i think her layback is my favourite, watching 4CC broadcast from YT on 1st day i remember commentators' reaction and kinda gushing right after she started her layback (at least i am guessing it was for her layback since i dont understand the language :biggrin:) :luv17:

I like that post, it's not very long but still constructive with good points. Regarding the toe jumps problems, indeed Satoko has issue with her Flip (and it's quite a common issue in the Ladies' field), but it has become better. Though she's not jumping ala Ito, it can become closer to with time and with hard work. And we all know how much of a hard worker Satoko is. Baby steps, as it's said. 😊

Satoko is a lovely skater, who has worked incredibly hard to be where is is now, yet she's constantly getting the same negative criticisms and they seem to have reached another after her win at Four Continents, so I wanted to put it all into a more positive light.

Sadly, I'm staying at my computer and on Twitter for Boston :sad21: but I'm planning for Helsinki next year (and a couple more events leading up to that). :D

Satoko has given an interview for Canon recently and she talks a lot about 4CC. A translation of that interview will soon be published on the fanblog. :)

Fun fact from the interview: she wants to learn Chinese and Russian at university. She chose Russian because she wants to be friends with the Russian ladies.
