Actually I am more worried about 4t3T pop in runthrough more that 4sal falls..... that combo is crucial in sp , he does it as a second jump so if something goes wrong he can't add it :sad46:
I have been sick for a whole month and I couldn't stop coughing. This is so bad for my health. :(

doesn't feel like a good draw for Hanyu in SP
I think it's an excellent draw...!

All his strongest rivals skate before him... so they don't know his score, and must assume it is likely to be 100+... the pressure is on them.

If any of them skates "lights out", it will fire up Hanyu's competitive spirit and make him skate his best. And nobody can beat Hanyu at his best...!

If none of them skates lights out... well, they're in trouble, Hanyu is likely to overtake them anyway...

Well I think it will be not good for Hanyu if they don't skate good. It will add pressure a lot to his mind that he can make huge lead if skate clean.

Considering how all his main rivals will skate before him, it will fire him up. It won't matter if Chan skates well or not, because there's everyone else before him too. And we can trust at least ONE of them to do well. That should be enough. Yuzu learned the hard lesson of being too relaxed/confident before. He will know what to do.😊

So yuzu is injured again? :palmf:At least I guess I could prepare myself for heart pain.

He is not injured now, he was before going to Canada, he was back on Feb 26 to Canada when it was healed. Phl Hersh has written so, in Icenetwork article. Now he is healthy.

Nah, he's not. The conversation was about how he had a minor injury prior to his return to Toronto but he's been fine for a while now, and how it's not uncommon for skaters to have problems during seasons.
Edit: Marin was faster. 😆

I slept through that and somehow I feel grateful

No, but seriously, he is healthy now and for me, it's good he's going fifth as he'll be fired up and wanting to prove himself. I think such a thing matters to Yuzu but personally my biggest wish is for everyone to do great and for Yuzu to win over a field like that by doing great himself. We'll see if I get that.

So close!

Too bad I will be working tomorrow and unable to watch the livestream :/ I hope Yuzu will skate the light out both SP and LP and happy with his results. I'm nervous as hell. Ughh I don't know whether I can focus on tomorrow's meeting or not. But I just have to believe in Yuzu and his team. He has been chasing this gold for a year already and now it's time to get it back. All the best Yuzu! To members of this forum who attend it: have fun! :ghug:

Well I hope he will show world Hanyu at his best. Fingers crossed
His main rival will come from himself in his mind and feeling in body.

i agree with this, especially after watching the men's practice tonight and seeing how hard they fall... :eeking:

Rest assured ladies, Yuzu looked happy and healthy at his practice. Yes, he took a couple of tumbles but many of the guys did. Can't wat to cheer him on tomorrow!! :yahoo:

Went to the practice tonight, which was pretty late, after 8 pm. Surprised to see Yuzu fall twice (as described by others) and was terrible to hear the loud sound when they hit the ice ---much worse in person than on TV. I sat in the 2nd row at the end of the rink and could see all their facial expressions clearly. Think Yuzu looked healthy, but not that happy in this practice session. Like everyone here says, it's better to get the falls and pops out of your system before the actual competition. He spent quite a lot of time talking to Brian and spent the end of the practice session doing stroking around the rink many times. There is a large contingent of mostly Japanese ladies that sat in the front; many of them recorded Yuzu on their cell phones and I was surprised that no one stopped them from doing so, but this would probably be different from at the actual event. Some moms had their kids with them---lucky kids to see skating at such a young age. There was a guy tapping signs with photography position numbers on the row of seats where I was, so maybe that's why I had a good view; usually don't have good seats so can't see very well. Of the 3 groups of men I watched at practice, there were quite a few falls. Both Boyang and Patrick missed jumps (seemed to be favoring his back, hope he's okay) and Kovtun didn't do any jumps and hardly "danced" at all during his run-through (maybe because the Russian men arrived late?). The rink looked small to me---at least relatively to other competitions In attended. Can't wait until the men's SP tonight---even if I'm a bundle of nerves. Will try to post my impressions tomorrow, since I know I won't get back to the hotel until very late.

Thank you for your report :) have fun tonight

Men's practice is on, Does anyone know in which group Yuzuru is?

He was in group 4 the last 2 days, but they shuffled the order yesterday morning (2,3,4,5,1), so I'm not sure. If the go by the order that was listed for monday (1,2,3,4,5), he would start a little after 11 :)

One thing worries me: how are men going to skate well so late? it's going to be pat 10 pm for the last group... Neither the body nor mind function well so late if you get up at 6 or 7 am...

I'm quiet with respect to time, as Yuzu is extremely disciplined and determined. I believe he should have a moment of rest before everything. I trust in your team. We will give him all the strength he needs through our thoughts and positive energy. Do not worry it will be okay.
I believe we have an excellent farewell to Chopin Ballade No. 1 and Seimei. Yuzu go! Yuzu go!

I am at the arena today March 30, the first day of completions. Today we will have ice dance short dance, then Pairs short, then in the evening men short program. I was at men' s practice partially last night, but I left early after the group of Chan and Nam Nguyen, because I was also tired, and I was with my husband. I hear about news of problem of injury and quad toe. I am so nervous. I pray for the best for Yuzuru. Hope all skaters are healthy. Hope Yuzuru is healthy and skates two beautiful programs and win the gold medal.

He's not injured atm, he was a couple of months back ;) and the pair's short is on Friday (just so you don't stay in your seat and get a chance to stretch your legs)
