2015-16 State of Russian Ladies skating

So who are those special skaters? And what is more interesting is the number of special skaters that could be considered and counted as "a lot", because, IMO, Russian ladies situation is unique.

IMO i think that Yulia (although yes she has been having issues) is a special skater. Yulia has the grace and look of a figure skater. I also think but ill wait and really see after next season, that Evgenia is another special skater. Something about these 2 just draws me in. Even if they fall or something they have that "IT" factor on the ice. Its hard to explain lol but yea. Just my opinion.

Thank you for the video boskil. So much (jump) talent. It shows why the podium looked like it did yesterday and will unless rules are changed. Perhaps the juniors ladies should stay juniors till they are 17.

::cool2:I think next year the "older" russian girls could come back strong and be on top again. Sot and Lip and maybe even Tuk. These women are now in post-puberty age, they had their "bad year" that happens from time to time to every athlete but i think they are ready to dominate again :think:
It would be crucial the next GP assignments: are Leonova and Artemieva still able to compete at the GP? How many spots has Russia now?

She is definitely not happy about it. Neither am I.
She has to back to the choreography class in order to keep her winning hopes alive. Her program this year was disappointing - basically skating from band to band with a dramatic face expression and flapping her arms to a hideous music. It will not win her much. She was my favorite, I was rooting for her and I was disappointed. She has to deliver a mature program.

She has nobody to blame but herself and her team. I still can't believe that someone thought this program was a great idea, then add in the speaking parts and I was too through
I think the judges gave her clear messages all season with her PCS vs Evgenia. Evgenia is killing her (and most of the field) in PCS. Maybe this will motivate her to get better programs? Maybe not. Gabrielle and Javier joined too and got some of that good juju because they skated some career best skates. I saw a lot of talk saying that Elena hates Evgenia and stuff but I really just don't see it? All of the Russian ladies seem to be very close, some more close than others but that's normal. It's cute that they would play games with each other before the LP to kill time.

It's ironic, because Morozov also did Anna's programs & they're perfect for her. He is sooo hit & miss, & I don't really understand if it's just a matter of who he clicks with, or if someone has to pay extra to get the "better" choreo vs the cut rate kind. But he doesn't seem like a good fit for Elena. Who did her Anna Karenina program, Averbuch? I would like to see her get something like that again.
NBC said that Titanic as a FP was chosen by her coach Inna.
I like Morozov programs most of the time: this season Anna's SP&LP and S/K LP are beautiful, but i think right now, without TAT, Averbukh is the best russian choreographer at the moment.
