Yeah, right in time. When we sort of started to forget all that happenned she decided to add her two cents to the bin.

my bad day started with this.. I was hoping avoiding this article to be posted here and here...we..go

That woman.....is bizarre. ..Thanks for the 'expert' opinion. Some of these so called experts are fickle as heck.
I agree with you. I think she maybe knows tendency( related to previous PB, order, reputation, short result, season consistency etc.) about PCS to top skaters, but still says overscored or underscored on PCS when top skater fails difficult programs or others executes relatively easy program clean. As same as Phlip Hersh. In the previous, I'm little stressed about critic's each evaluation, but now not that tired. It's just their opinions, and I know they will praise the player when player success difficult programs clean in the future. If the place is right, personally I don't mind about score at relative view. So praise and criticism are fate to skaters unless they always success or fail. And now men's single skating is too competitive with quads, so executing their stuff close to clean in the competition is the winner's key especially among podium possible skaters.

I have just been thinking the same....

You know it is so heartbraking when some people including aka experts of figure skating were gushing over him after he broke 6 records earlier , calling him alien. greatest of all time. once alien Yuzu came down to earth for one day, they began to throw mud on him. I am so sad that when remembering Sochi certain individuals remember only his bad LP, same in Boston .somehow they always forget that he had record breaking SP in Sochi andbreathtaking sp 2 weeks ago.. I am old fan of figure skating , It has been decades I began watching and I am always convinced how ungrateful and cruel this sport is...... sorry for this kind of post but today I am enough pissed with some figure skating journalists. ...
I remember Sonia was up on the cloud nr. 9 when she saw Yuzu doing perfect PW, back in years, and then get upset over a not so fluid LP. She's very emotional. And I just can't help but thinking I'd answer her complaint as well as all the others too by the song by Depeche Mode- Walking In My Shoes.
"Now I'm not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

You'll stumble in my footsteps"

Too bad Depeche Mode is a dark music for Yuzu to skate to. But it is also good because his energy is so different.;)

Who is this Tatjana Flade?

She is based in Europe and speaks like every European language. She works for the ISU as a translater for skaters at pressers and writes articles. She even contributes to articles here at GS and I believe even posts here.

Folks - the IGNORE feature is very useful, even better, is the REPORT function. Posts that do not follow GS guidelines should be reported. Moderators will then review and delete as needed. No need to engage/respond with someone who you think is trolling.

Here are some good read for today among the 433 (and counting) support messages from the demographic survey. Once I close the survey, I will consolidate all the messages and send to Yuzu from his fans worldwide across all sites...and also post it for all the fans to view. This is from all of you for Yuzu, thank you for supporting him.

"Hi yuzu. I have been your fan since the WC in Shanghai . Your performance was soooo gorgeous that I have always described you as a purple butterfly since then. And last year, I got an operation on my legs then I will not be able to run or jump in rest of my life. During the long past 8 months of rehabilitation, your endless courageous have always inspired me to stand up again. Maybe I can never skate in my whole life, but I will always support you, and wish you can always be the one who can take his courage in both hands to chase his dream. 頑張れ ゆず!

"The beauty and athleteism of your skating, your never ending effort to pursue your ideal performance, the love and respect you show to other skaters, the sincerity with which you react to success and failure, your commitment to the tragedy of Tohoku, and your constant recognition that you exist with the support of your team and fans. How can we not love you. Go on, Yuzu, as you believe! Even a seemingly mishap would lead you to your smile in the long run.

I know you can achieve everything you wanted and I will be there to support you behind the scenes. I don't remember where I read (maybe Tarasova said it) - but to be able to be the best coach - one needs to be in love (professionally speaking) with that student's talent. It is despicable for a talent like Yuzu to have a coach that doesn’t appreciate the gift he was given by having an opportunity to coach Yuzu. It is not OK for Yuzu to have a coach that is just professional enough to give some attention to him, but prefers Javi’s style. I would have respected Orser if he had enough integrity and courage and withdrew from his role as a Yuzu’s coach. But that requires strong character, much easier to compare Yuzu to Javi and paint Yuzu as too emotional in the interviews. That is low.

What the heck. Give it a rest. You know nothing, the least of all whether Orser appreciates Yuzuru's gift or now, which by the way he said he does. So stop throwing mud at a person who played a large part in getting to where he is, a record breaker. Secondly, Yuzuru is not a god, he doesn't need to be worshipped as you seem to demand if people, especially of Orser. We're here to enjoy his skating, not to put him on a pedestal, and a coach is there to do his job and not to put his student on a pedestal. For pete's sake, it's sport, not a cult!

At the time of GPF when Yuzuru broke the records Orser was the great kahuna and the best coach ever and so on an so on and now he's unworthy of having Yuzuru as his student and should step down. But his greatest crime is, apparently, coaching and being proud of Javi who did a really good job for once. How about you take off your crazy fan glasses and stop blaming Orser and perhaps look at Yuzu himself. Who 's NOT a saint or a god, who's fallible and who cracked under pressure. Do I have to remind you how many times Javi cracked under pressure? Was it Orser's fault too?

ETA: sorry guys, but I've had enough of the evil!Orser meme, some people go really overboard with it. What really gets to me is treating an object of my/our/one's fannish affection like some sort of deity that everybody should bow to and kiss the ground they walk on.

We can always count on you to make this thread more positive :dance3:

Scary/handsome/stunning/good-looking Yuzuru (you follow the link at your own risk !)
He should be required to have a license or something for that face :roll9: looking at that sort of picture should count as a public health risk......

News report on this "Next Weekend to Sendai" campaign (the site is up now)

The campaign is targeted to female tourists. Sendai City government hope to attract them to choose the city as their priority on weekend vacation. - credit Echo @YHIFG
Why on earth would they think that he could attract female tourist? :scratch3: Weird idea.

I'm totally not a travel writer, so I only wrote a short report on FaOI when I was in Japan last year. And then I spent weeks creating a photo book :roll9: so I didn't bother to upload much of my digital files. But since I went through some of my photos last weekend, I uploaded some shots from our short trip to Sendai, so if you care for some one-year-old pictures :)

There was an article where they interviewed Yuzuru after he was injured in November 2014. He said he heard that people were blaming Brian for letting him skate injured, and saying negative things about him. Yuzuru was so hurt to hear that, and felt so bad. I think people need to remember that whatever happens, Yuzuru respects and trusts Brain. So perhaps before posting consider how he would feel if he read negative comments about his coach.
