It's back... everyone's favorite (or least favorite) off-season amusement last year is making its second run. :dance3: Wishes, far-fetched predictions, and everything but the kitchen sink (or everything and the kitchen sink, if that fits into your predictions somehow ) go here. Be as crazy as you like-laughter is the best medicine, after all. :agree:

Jason puts two quads in his short and three in the LP and executes them flawlessly:hap57:

Patrick Chan decides to capitalize on his SS and switch to ice dance. Despite the language barrier, he teams up with Adelina, who wishes to escape the onslaught of up and coming Russian ladies while also capitalizing on her SS and performance quality. They quickly become the most controversial dance team of the last several quads: you either love their fantastic edgework and clashing artistic styles or hate them for their controversial PCS and edging out "worthier" teams for medals.

They also train with a pairs coach, just to "bring something new" to ice dance.

:p

Max and Adam cause multiple heart attacks within the USFS when they hijack the gala after Nationals to skate together as a pair. Their program is a smash hit (including some great lift positions and a throw quad Axel) and is so popular that the ISU is forced to introduce same-sex pairs for the following season. Max and Adam then become the first male-male pairs champions and their success has countries like Russia and China scrambling to find a tall, flexible man to partner with a short, solid man to try and emulate their success.

How's their sbs quad?

They are not released until the Olympic year. We don't know the SD rhythm for that season yet, but whatever it is, they skate to something with lyrics in French for it. Their free dance is to "Requiem for a Dream," a tribute to their lost singles careers. They plan an exhibition to "We Are the Champions" and try to scrap it when they win the bronze, but when they cannot choreograph a new exhibition in 30 hours, they must perform it anyway and it goes viral. An article entitled "Irony on Ice: is this Exhibition Program the Most Ironic Moment in Figure Skating History?" Popularizes the team and draws many fans to ice dance. GS crashes when the thread sharing the article gets overloaded. The mods must recruit several longtime posters to deal with all the newly-registered members.

Meanwhile, some posters get mad that all these new people are showing up to rave about Patelina :p and create "The Rink": a "Forum for the Figure Skating Intellectual."

My Crystal ball comes and goes but I can see some things.

1) WADA bans cereal when they discover that an unusually high number of American skaters and fans are eating it before and after competitions.

2) Lena Radionova skates to music from her favorite movie and not coincidentally also her favorite pinball game...Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!

3) Yulia Lipnitskaya goes to space(Have I predicted this before)

4) Max Aarron defects to Australia but returns after he discovers that Karne is really from New Zealand

5) Russian Nationals is transformed into a Snooker Championship and Eurosport coverage increases tremendously.

6) Gracie Gold skates to the Teletubbies music and people throw LaLa dolls.

7) First place at Skate America gets a golf cart as a bonus in each discipline!

I've lost my focus for now.........

I love this. I actually was kinda hoping those two would show up at the exhibition together being cute.

I am assuming they take turns on the lifts though... which would just make it more awesome.

They opt for sbs 3A-3T instead, to avoid the awkwardness that comes with each of them specialising in different quads.

Later in the season, they develop a technique whereby they switch positions during the routine, enabling them to do two throw quads, one from Adam and one from Max.

4) Max Aarron defects to Australia but returns after he discovers that Karne is really from New Zealand

SAM S! DON'T REVEAL MY SECRET SHAME! :scard7:

Max lifts Adam, of course. Attempts were made at the reverse during the off-season but unfortunately did not work particularly well. Adam being so slender and lithe is easier to lift and to throw, until they come up with the aforementioned trick to have Adam throw Max (though really it is a clever disguise and Adam doesn't actually do any throwing, Max just does a quad Sal and makes it look like he was thrown). Threads and threads on GoldenSkate argue back and forth about whether such a move should be allowed and why the technical panels don't call them out on it.
