Alexander Petrov

So I downloaded and watched the clip of that stsq multiple times. It's very generic. Hopefully the rest of the program will not be like that.

Edit:
Although really, what I care most about is whether the choreographed stsq can get him a level 4, generic or not.

From Ge's twitter yesterday:
"#ThatMoment when IceProfessor(Mishin) picked new music for finished FP choreo (His skater), and you have one day to change it.✊🏼 #WorkOnMax"

It looks quick.

I don't think Papa Mishin really tends to like jazzy - so it might be Sasha's music he wanted changed, if that was the case.

That clip was posted half a day after Ge made that comment about someone's music being changed.

18 days till the next camp in France. Perhaps Sasha will get some well needed rest by going on vacation? Hopefully.

So it seems that one of the Russian FS photographers went to Tartu on the 27th to take photos of Mishin's camp training process. The rink is the one at the local mall so it's open to public access. Maybe some photos of Sasha will surface too, maybe.

Fyi the Courchevel camp is a private one, so unless invited, media won't have access. Which in many ways is probably better.

I was in Tartu for competition this weekend.
On Saturday night, sitting in McDonalds I turn around and see...Petrov and Gumennik.
My figure skating fangirl was over the moon. And even though I decided not to bother them (Artur Dmitriev was there as well), It was nice seeing them in person.
Side note: Petrov touches his hair in real life as often as he did it in his FS :)

 That is so cool, thanks for telling!
I guess we now know where Richaud's inspiration came from.

I'm just so terribly, terribly disappointed by this. He really "got" Sasha, it's such a great thing when a choreographer and skater really "click", and I so wanted them to continue to build on that work and develop it... I just.... Sigh.
There really needs to be another Richaud program.:(

Snippet from the Kostner-to-Courchevel article:
"According to the coach, in addition to Kostner and two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko, the World Champion 2015 Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Elizaveta Nugumanova, Alexander Petrov and other athletes will take part."

:ohwell:

Most of the students are vacationing at some sunny location and Sasha's still in SPB. :(
Maybe his family is accompanying him to Courchevel then? I hope so.
