Wakaba Higuchi

If my Japanese isn't failing me the announcer quoted Wakaba saying "After seeing Tatsuki Machida's 2013 EX I thought I wanted to perform that program myself one day" :dbana:

ETA: Nevermind, I listened to her interview and she said the program was Machida inspired. Just as I thought.

Thank you! What I understood from the interview: Apparently she liked the music ever since Tatsuki skated to it. The EX is totally different from her EXs last season. Since she's turning senior this season she wanted to display something more mature. Her goal is to go to the Olympics so she wants to gain experience (on the senior field) this season and do well on the grand prix series this year.

(I'm still learning Japanese so someone correct me if I'm saying something wrong here. )

This year TJ skaters decided to announce this season as the Tatsuki tribute , Wakaba , Shoma and even Yuzuru at GPF finale :biggrin: Who is next?
Oh, yes I forgot Yuka Lmao xDD

He disappeared in a parallel universe and only comes down to earth when he chooses but his spirit lives on inside his team mates. :drama:
 
I heard wakaba is participating in PIW on the 17/18 of July along with Sota!!! Yay July cannot come sooner, I already miss seeing her skate and that ex is something else, if only is wasn't an ex but an actual competitive program. Wakaba is actually one of my favourite skaters of all time. I love her presence on the ice and her personality off the ice. I hope she can get that 3A, it would be something...also, pray for no off season injuries this year hopefully she is in top form by the start off the season and can make a splash in seniors ❤
Such a lovely skater with beautiful edge work and quality skating. I understand she's not as good in CH or IN than say someone like Marin, but she's already won me...idek how
Hope we see more of her.
I also love her determiness and will. She's not just powerful. And i really admire her self confidence, its really something i could use more off but she really makes me go wow EVERYTIME i see her skate plus unrelated but she likes Yuna haha and I do too :)
 
Wakaba is at the Cricket Club?!?!?!??!?! Yay why tho? I haven't heard about that at all...anyone knows why?
Maybe she's trying Triple Axel hahaha
 
Oh yeah, I can't see the picture at all, but I'll try to look around twitter or something. That's interesting if she is in Canada...
 
Wakaba has Trophee Eric France and NHK Trophy as her senior GP assignments! In France she'll be against Mao, and in Japan she'll be against Satoko (among other competitors) which should be fun to watch!
