Oh for the love of god, 6 thumbs down already? Really? :rolleye:

didnt notice cause i was busy being mesmerized by her (and because i downloaded it so i can watch it countless time ), its 9 now  maybe its too complex for an EX since we are used to EX programs consisting of jumps/spins being put together with crossovers :slink:

btw, is this the 1st time we saw her with nail polish? loved it, loved her packaging for this EX ! ohh and i think she still have braces

Didn't she already had nail polish for her Firedance? and yes she still has braces, but her teeth are looking better, I think. :)

Oh there are 9 thumbs down now! They're pretty fast. :cool14:

This is the first time she wore nail polish indeed. And she definitely hasn't taken her braces off yet.

Post TCC interview with Satoko from Figure Skating Life magazine. She's a very smart girl.

Some highlights:

Did you see Uno Shoma’s performance?
Satoko: I wasn’t able to see it, but I heard he did well from my coach. We’ve been competing together since we were novices so I’m really happy that we’re here together at this major competition. I have to keep training hard like Shoma-kun.

As you look ahead into the next season, what areas do you want to improve in?
Satoko: The first thing I wanted to say was: “Everything” (laughs). But, I want to get more height out of my jumps and work on my choreography to bring out more of my own perspectives/visions.

You’re up there with the world’s best, but how do you feel about it?
Satoko
: Skating clean does not necessarily result medals or winning because even if you get closer to the top, the top keeps on moving higher and higher (laughs). I’m still chasing towards the top.

There was one photo with a weird camera angle where I thought her braces were off. They're not tho. She looks good. Beautiful costume. I found myself singing along to the music! :p

By the way - in the interview she says that if she were less anxious about her jumps, her scores would get higher. If that's how she skates when she's anxious about her jumps, I wonder what's it like skating without being anxious

According to an article published in a Japanese news site today, Satoko's new SP will be "La boheme" by Puccini. About the program she says “It’s waltz which is cheerful, and it includes many balletic movement.” She also says “Smile will be the key. I want to perform lively all through the program.”

---edit---
FP music will be mixture of “Jupiter” and “Star Wars.” The theme of the program is “Love & Peace.”

Thank you for the updates!

No more mystery, the waltz is from La Boheme! Probably Musetta's Waltz?

The waltz in La Boheme is meant to be quite flirty and coquettish, if I recall, so hopefully she'll get to channel some of that in the choreo.

If it is that particular waltz, well, it is very pretty music and well known. If she gets her expression right, and i think she is very detail oriented so it will be, it will be a delightful program. I am glad of no lyrics because sometimes that does not work in the arena.

I think lyrics might spoil the mood, so very happy with no lyrics. Also the words are sort of weird if I remember right. It will be fun to see how she does with it at Skate Canada.

I can't stop giggling with glee that I will be there this year... if I am so happy now, october will make me positively giddy :yahoo:

Maybe we'll see it sooner at Mao's show at the end of the month or at a Challenger Series event.

Can't wait! Oct. is going to be a month of hysteria for me with Skate America and then Skate Canada the following week. See you there! :drama:
