Elena Radionova

Who is Natalia Popova? I've noticed her in a lot of the group pictures with Lena. Is she one of the coaches who works with Inna's group?

I think I remember her from the Olympics. I think she is Ukranian but I'm not sure if she still trains or is now a coach.

OMG, that is SOOO cute!

Totally! :agree:

Well there are finally a few more pics of Lena at Adelina's birthday party!

With the birthday girl:

Three beauties!!!

Aha! So that was what was going on! I forgot that Adelina's birthday was around this time of year. :o:

Which is ironic, considering that it was the video that the CSKA Moscow skaters made for Adelina's 17[SUP]th[/SUP] birthday that really enhanced my opinion of Kristina...! :slink:

(Really wish I could find another copy of it! None of the links I have previously posted work any more. :disapp: )

Two beauties!!!

(Nice photo of Adelina in the background too!)

Just watched TSL's old interview with Shae Lynn Bourne https://07-lvl3-pdl.vimeocdn.com/01/3467/4/117337622/327973439.mp4?expires=1468028859&token=08d9276697c9ae75f5426 and I think she's a great fit for Lena. Shae lynn mentions how after the initial meeting, it's often difficult to get more time to work with skaters on polishing the programs, which I found surprising, but I guess it makes sense given their busy schedules. Hopefully she and Lena will have plenty of opportunities to perfect her program(s) this season though!

Hmm, that link doesn't work for me, unfortunately!

I'm very excited about Lena working with Shae-Lynn, but that is my big concern--that it will be difficult for them to meet up to polish the choreography. Sergei had the same problem with Jeff Buttle last season--they both have very busy schedules and they are on different continents, so they didn't have a chance to work on Sergei's programs other than the initial time. Hopefully Lena and Shae-Lynn will be able to meet up if necessary!

And here's the latest pic of Lena at Novogorsk:

So nice to see Lena smiling! :agree:

Oops, you're right- let's try again:

Yes, I hope Elena and Shae-Lynn have time to meet up during the season. I also think a choreographer can only do so much (esp when long distance) and so it is up to Inna, Natalia, and the rest of Lena's team to work on improving her posture, jumps, etc! Let's hope Lena is taking ballet like you suggested a while back ;)

I believe she's into ballet but not the classic one ~~

And....................
I miss Lena so much already :sad4:

"I spent a week in Toronto. I brought a few music options for the program. First we together listened, selected, tried different steps on the ice, skated a lot to see, to feel, what kind of music is more suitable to me. All the time I was in touch with the coach Inna Germanova. And when we with Shae-Lynn chose our version, I have consulted it with my coaches, and after Inna Germanovna said "We take it", we started setting the program"
good girl ! So, my fears weren't needed :)

Thanks for the link!

I was wondering what made Lena want to work with Shae-Lynn, but I had forgotten that they met in Kazakhstan when Shae-Lynn choreographed for Denis Ten's show last year! Now it makes sense! I'm so glad Lena's dream of working with her came true. :agree: I just hope that her short program turns out awesome!

Yes, I was very glad to read that! Thanks for translating!

Congrats to Lena on passing her final exams! :cheer:

She mentioned in the interview that she needs to take the entrance exams for RGUFK (the sports university)--and she was there today, so I'm guessing that's why?

I have no idea who the other people are, but their names are apparently Alexander Evmenov, Petr Paleyev, Svetlana Grishankova, and Anna Neverova.

So cute!

On a side note, are you the author of this blog? http://fuyu-no-ohimesama.blogspot.ca/ (It says the author is someone named 'Batsuchan.') Just wondering, because I loved reading this blog!

Oh, haha, yes, that is my blog!! That I haven't updated in years.... :slink: I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Nothing to report about Lena, unfortunately, though it looks like she wrote a note in English (!) for this Romanian skater:

I guess the shirt is a present? Lucky girl!!

New interview of Inna Goncharenko. Not very much about Lena there though, she speaks more about Maxim and Sergei.

Cool, thanks! It sounds like the group is getting along well. Can anyone who understands Russian tell me if they discussed what Lena's LP will be? I wasn't sure...it does sound like her SP by Shae Lynn has been very popular :). I'm also happy to hear Inna is still collaborating with Averbukh. I think he did good work for Lena so I would like to see them collaborate again in the future.
