Yuzuru Hanyu: 2016-17 Season

I have to admit, I'm worried for the costume too. I hope he won't throw away the bling and simply chose some random clothes from the closet like Chan did last year.
EDIT: or maybe it meant that the costume looks nothing like Chopin's from the past 2 seasons?

Maybe one of the American men can lend him a bowling shirt.

I'd LOVE something like this!!! But I seriously doubt it. My bet is a costume remembering PW1 (so the 2012-2013 version), as it's an upbeat SP...
I disagree with NDP and R&J2 being the worse, those two costumes were gorgeous imo. But I also agree for the "no suspenders", lol! Javi wore them two seasons in a row (EX and LP), and it was awful to look at.

Another my interest is if he keeps overalls like Requiem, POTO, etc. My friend says she wants him to graduate from overall costumes any more!

RJ2 was a lucky costume for him and anyways both costumes to me had some details that were really great. Honestly I don't dislike any of his costumes now because I think none of them were completely disastrous. And I hope JWeir was not involved this time too.

I think his SP is either jazz or hip-hop, we knew beforehand it would be upbeat, absolutely looking forward. I guess he'll repeat the pattern of energy SP and calmer, slower FP.
I'm still concerned for his costumes too. I know he LOVES blings and colors and frills and stylish style, I guess he'd never throw it away from his closet, but as he's growing up he's being pressured by the expectations of the audience, choreographers and judges to adopt more reserved style of clothing and to "mature". It's my subtle concern that he will feel the need to act and dress as a "grown up", giving away the part of his individuality. There are some fans who wish him to do that too
Anyway, I hope he gets everything he really likes and expects originally. I trust Yuzu and his team :luv17:

From Shirota quotes they assume sp is the rock .
As DW is involved I think the ex might be Jazz tho.

Actually, she didn’t say “upbeat” but she said the image of it is close to his ’12-’13 ex, “Hello, I Love You”. She can’t reveal the name of the music yet but the program will be something interesting, including the costume and it will showcase a new Yuzuru.
The FS is coming along fine, including the music choice. She didn’t reveal the choreographer for the FS (nor the SP) because she wanted to leave that up to Yuzuru. (uh, Brian?)

I’m glad he is working with DW again. I think it’s a good idea to use any of the sources available at TCC so having him choreograph an ex sounds like an excellent idea.

Hooray! Thanks mikaboo for the info! Finally we get to listen to more news about the program!!! Since she said it is like hello I love you so something rock n roll maybe? I won't complain about his program this season cause it is pre oly season so he can explore all he wants
I have faith in Jeff. About shae, I generally like her choreo. Even if it is a warhorse I think she can still bring out the character of the skater. Saw her sp for rika for example. I do think shae works better with unique music though (like yuzu's seimei or wagner's hiphipchinchin/moulin rouge program).

About costume, I think we have seen it all, i really can't imagine his costume could be worse than RJ2.

P.S : Since his SP will be non-classical, I expect his FP to be classical(ish)? He always has at least one classical(ish) program every season.
