Haven't seen or heard much about the new SP. Was trying to find something--anything!:scratch2::sad4:

Sorry, I can't say the details of his SP because I almost always can't remember it when I watch new programs (especially Shoma's) for the first time. I know some of his fans have mixed feelings about his SP. Especially people who love or have a special fondness for Tatsuki's program might think it a little bit plain. But, at lease I thought it was a beautiful program and reaffirm sound of a violin really suited Shoma very well.

Accourding to this article (after senior training camp), he still needs to work on his SP and wants to be integrated to music with transparent expression.

And one more thing, the rink was small.

This tweet says Chukyo TV will air the Saturday show in Nagoya on Aug. 14th. It means they will air his FS again. But they also have the longer version (Sep. 4th) which usually has every skater's peformances and two programs for some (or all?) skaters later.
It seems Fukuoka local will air Kitakyushu show on Sep. 3.

His FS layout will be 4F+2T, 4T, 3Lo/ 3A+3T, 4F, 3Lz, 3A+1Lo+3F, 3S if he includes two 4Fs.
At ALSOA party on ice after 1st show in Nagoya, he skated FS. / 4F, 4T, 3Lo, 3A, 4T(fall), 3Lz, 3A+1Lo+3F, 3S (from twitter report)
2nd show (8/6) / 4F(fall), 4T, 3A+3T(fall), 4F, 3Lz, 3A+1Lo+3F, 3S

And I think his 3As are back. He lands 3As in opening and finale as well as 3As in his program at each show. He only fell on 3A and 3A+3T once respectively.

Thank you for your detailed report. Does this mean you were able to see the live show? I am hoping that even if the program seemed a little empty, hopefully he is still perfecting it. For me, the best news is that his 3A seems to have miraculously reappeared. Those darn quads {{:curse:}} seem to mess other things up.

Sounds like there is hope to see the SP, if not through The Ice, then maybe videos will show up through Lombardia Trophy. Darn, the wait continues!...Thanks again! :thank:

Yes!

US boys truly seem to enjoy the shows and stay in Japan. Glad to see them! About Jason, he comes here with his family, and we hope his family trip to Japan for summer shows will become his annual event as long as he's healthy!

It really shows they are having a great time. The smiles aren't fake just because the cameras are on them. It's a wonderful opportunity for them -- especially Tarah and Danny. I had no idea Jason's parents were there too. There was a video clip of them on his thread, and they are as funny as he is! (It was the one where they were singing in the car). I think they are high on life! :luv17:

Yes, I went to Saturday and Sunday show. I went to THE ICE almost every year. I'm really glad Shoma finally became a main cast of THE ICE. He is one of the reason they started THE ICE.

I don't mean it's empty. Tatsuki skated with strong expression, but Shoma just skated with different style.

BTW,will Shoma skate at the show in China?
Boyang vs Shoma
It's a great opportunity, but he is so busy.

:dance2:2 shows?! Awwwww, I'm so jealous. These shows and costumes looked like they were so much fun! When I read Shoma was in the 2007 show, I wondered what he might have looked like at that show. I've seen this before, but it was fun seeing it again. I love the way he allows himself just the tiny, tiniest of smiles! First time I'm seeing him playing baseball too. https://lightandsnow0316.tumblr.com/post/135348481418

I wonder about that Shoma & Jin China thing. Seems like it's time to start getting serious about competitions. I lost count of all the ice shows. I know in just the last few weeks Shoma was in 21 shows!...What I really want to see is the new programs on a full-size rink. Taka looked like he needed more room when he did his flamenco SP, someone said the same for Mao, and I felt Shoma couldn't get up enough speed for his jumps.

I have really high hopes for the SP. Once he is in a competition, I think he'll be ready to show lots of emotion. I remember his Sonata where he performed with that violinist. That was wonderful!

Ha! Ha! Shoma is touching a lot of people today! They'd better call Coach Tamara Moskvina for some pairs tips! Tarah and Danny are two of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. We are so proud to call them our U.S. pairs champions. My guess is that they would love to come back to Japan again! Glad to see that Shoma likes them too...Danny might not be quite as nutty as Jason, but his joy (that unending smile!) is infectious!

Sorry i cant stop by here since my mind is full of Olympics! but now most events of Men's gymnastics of my biggest concern were over!:drama:

Understood--after all, the Olympics are only once every four years! Team Japan rocks! Next time --Tokyo! I have been glued to the swimming and women's gymnastics. See you soon.

I’m sorry that Meagan/Eric and Kaitlyn/Andrew couldn’t make it this year but am glad that Japanese fans got to see skaters they don't usually get to see at ice shows here. They seem to fit right into the atmosphere of The ICE, just like Jason! I actually hope to see them back next year even though I haven’t even seen them in the show yet. They are really good with posting fun photos!
I guess Shoma goes to China next for the ice show with Boyang. I hope the boys don’t try crazy things to out-quad eachother.

:drama: And the Olympics isn't half over yet :drama: Sorry about Ryohei. I hope he does well in the parallel bars.

I look at the American young ladies and think of how typically American (diverse) the team is -- only 5 people, but different races, ethnicities, and religions just in that small group. Pretty cool, and quite an inspiration. They are all a bunch of little dynamos! So proud of them and their wonderful coaches, the Karolyis.. :hap10:
