What Australians don't do brunch? Geez, just rename lunch to brunch and start your football drinking early... hair of the dog (that bit you) works. Though i prefer to think of it as fur of the cat that scratched you. ;)
 
Do my ears hear music from The Lion King playing for Max in this practice video?? Just a few seconds from Friday morning, but I think this snippet shows his new FS??:


ETA, I already have watched these eleven seconds at least ten times and counting :hopelessness: ... and they are making me very excited to see more :popcorn:.

Music doesn't sound like anything in the Lion King movie. Not sure if that might be some Broadway music. At any rate, he looks good.

And he just loves his lifts, this time as the liftee!

Sorry if I am completely off the mark.
When I first saw/heard that snippet, at first I ignored it as just some random rink music, and The Lion King was the furthest thing from my mind.
But when I kept re-watching/re-hearing it, I started putting two and two together, and convinced myself that the music/beat was from The Lion King, which I saw (decades ago) only on Broadway (never saw the movie). I don't specifically recall those particular notes of music, but my memory is such that I wouldn't expect to :laugh:.
But maybe I have added two plus two and gotten five :hopelessness:.

Changing the subject to a very shallow one:
Sorry to see Max looking deflated in the SP Kiss and Cry :ghug:.
A nice contrast that an outing later with Joshica and Mirai was able to lift ;) Max's spirits, evidenced by some of his irresistible smiles :luv17:.
Here is the shallow part: I think Max is looking esp. handsome at Lombardia ... partly b/c I esp. like his hair at the moment. Short-ish (but not excessively short) curls, and not severely shaven on the sides.

It kept breaking up and then broke completely but I DO NOT HAVE THE WORDS. THE LION KING IS AMAZING. MAX YOU WONDROUS BEAUTY YOU, THIS IS FABULOUS AND YOU LOOK GREAT DOING IT AND OH MY GOD IT WAS BRILLIANT

EDIT: Someone has uploaded what we have of the program. Can't wait til the techno bit comes in later in the season and he sets off with a big grin on his face.

I'm not entirely sure that i love the techno part, but since the stream crapped out at that part anyways I'll reserve judgement until I can see the whole thing. Maybe it'll turn out better when I see more of it.

And ice coverage, I think I should apologise to you, because now it looks like that music WAS the Lion King music in that clip, it was just part of the techno ending part that we didn't get to see all of. So good ears!

Finally had a chance to see the Lion King Fan Cam. This program is SO much fun and is going to be a real crowd pleaser. Still a little ragged around the edges, but that's how most of the men looked. Happy for Max!

So nice that the fancam let us hear the clapping :clap: for Max both during his program :clapper: and at the end :gclap:.

Only anecdotal, but I was tickled to see The Lion King hashtagging in a couple of fan selfies with Max at Lombardia.
Hope that it is another indication that the program was well-received.

Max is mentioned in Damian Dodge's blogging from Lombardia ... in which we learn that SnuggleBat's navigation skills on the streets of Bergamo left something to be desired ;).
(I myself tend to be directionally challenged :hopelessness:, so I am sympathetic.)

Just wanted to say here that I thought Max did a great job with his new Lion King program and I am really looking forward to seeing how it develops. I can see that step sequence being a moment for him at Nationals if he can become super comfortable with the style. The choreo is already looking great and they have time to improve it. This is all positive for Max to have a great year. Go Max!

Just noting that IN has an article today about long-shot prognostications for 2016-17.
Among the going-out-on-a-limb predictions for the men's discipline, here are the ones that mention U.S. men:

.... Luchianov: "Max Aaron will claim the world bronze medal."

McCarvel: "The American men will earn back their third spot for the PyeongChang Olympics."
