Yulia Lipnitskaya

I loved Yulia's new programs and the way she matured and started to skate with lots of grace and confidence. I hope she has a great season ahead, I really want her to succed. She is in fantastic shape, OMG, great job!:2thumbs:
I have a question about her SP music- the title reads as "Les Fuilles Mortes" by Koala Liu (I don't know why it is different on Yulia's Wikipedia page). Is there any source I can listen to the song? I've tried to search Youtube but got nothing, maybe someone could help?

go to https://vk.com/topic-31036833_30065910?offset=1200 . left click the top line Юлия Липницкая • Julia LipnitskayaDiscussion boardDiscussion1,204 . scroll down a few lines on the new page to "audio files" (just under photos) and you will see the link, it's the first line. This is exactly the track that she uses, including any editing.

Thank you, I could listen to it.:)

Stefan Lambiel used the music of Yves Montand "Les Fuilles Mortes" for her short program and her personal trainer Alexei Urmanov choreographed the free program that uses "Kill Bill" from the famous movie. At the Russian test skates in Sochi, Julia skated both programs flawlessly without a fall and her triple jumps are back to normal. I have high expectations for Julia and she could even outperform Radionova and Sotnikova in the new season and get back to the Russian national team.

Is it just the perspective or is Evgenia really taller than Yulia now? Last year this time, seemed like Yulia was taller.

To accurately judge their height I would want to see then standing on a flat surface without anything in front of their legs. And resting super serious face goes to Mikhail Kolyada

And where are Pogo's eyes wandering to?

Man, those two interviews are, in a way, so... uplifting? You can see how hard it was to get used to Sochi and the new training, and how much the people around her had to get used to Yulia, but at the same time, you can see some little glimpses of the woman she's shaping up to be. Urmanov himself seems completely conscious of their goals and how far they can go this season, and in a way I'm praying for her to keep skating with him for years to come, because this seems like the start of something so beautiful, we have to see where it is going!

Did she say she lost 17 pounds

Her interviews are the best. Sounds like the FS will see some changes and she seems to imply they've mostly worked on a layout and no choreography but they still have some steps and transitions from working with Lambeil. Her honesty and the lack of sugar coating conversation is never dull. I love that even when discussing past choreographers she doesn't even make a hint of Ilya.

Her brutal honesty, self-awareness and assessment always make for a great in-depth look at just how hard she is on herself. No hint of pretence, nor room for self-pity. But sometimes I really do wish she would go easier on herself.

I can't wait to see the 'unsimplified' version of Le Feuilles Mortes! Also, Kill Bill has so much potential! Bring out the killer Yulia! :dev3:
LOL @ the lack of mention...but I guess there's no point since there's not much Vaytsekhovskaya doesn't already know about that collaboration from said former party. Perhaps one day Yulia might want to discuss her side, but right now....probably not worth her time or thought.

And....LMAO at the "You can drive 10km/h but there is still a chance someone will jump under your wheels"

The lasagna part of the interview with Alexei was too funny :) He actually said "Yulia was standing near the stove, wrapped in some apron and with her face smeared with flour" This is priceless :luv17:
