Well, technically it wouldn't be Zayak. His 2nd 4S would have the 4S+REP thing and worth 70%, but if he tried to do a 4T+3T, 3A+2T, 3A+Lo+3S the last would count as his 4th combo and it would be worth 0 points. If he missed his 4S combo the most he could do would be change his 3A+2T to a 3A+3T
Barely no room for mistake, like alwaysever
On the contrary, with this variety of quads,he can actually pop any of them with no fear of Zayak. And there is always 3Lo as safety net to replace extra repetitions

6 in total. It's only 6.- It is really unthinkable for my generation. Out of 8 jumps, 4 are quads. And with 2 more quads in SP, 8 in total. At the end, Oda and the host are pretending to wave to Yuzu who is a non-human in outer space. (haha.....)

actually he will be in trouble if he pops 4T into triple, he would need to change one of his 3A if he doesnt want to zayak (he would be repeating 4S, 3T and 3A otherwise), maybe change one of 3A with 3Lo (depending on how he did his 4Lo) since he said he cant jump 2A![]()
Just didn't think there was need to elaborate too much on obvious things. Concerning that 2A, well, he'll have jump it if 4Lo won't work wellsaw Angelica corrected it on FB. I will correct it on the original post6 in total. It's only 6.![]()

Is this part of the stsq? Different news clip have different cuts of his program I am actually confused which goes where

Interview translations
1) Regarding his SP and LP programs by Yuzusorbet tumblr
Regarding his new programmes, in this video, Yuzuru said: “SP is ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ by Prince. It’s uptempo, very fast, a programme that people will be able to enjoy, with strong rhythm, and also with vocals. With each note and sound, I hope to ride on it and skate it well.
For the FP, it’s Joe Hisaishi’s 'View of Silence’ and ’Asian Dream Song’ combined and titled 'Hope and Legacy’. It’s a classical piano piece but it’s composed by a Japanese person and so it has a bit of that Japanese world taste. I have put in what I learned last season, when I did SEIMEI, like the expressiveness and such, and I hope to make this even better.”
2) Angelica's translation @YHIFG FB of some Q&A from the open practice yesterday. Combined from 2 sources: source #1 (this link is incomplete because Angelica is not a member; does anyone else have the full article?), source #2:
- During the time you could not skate because of your left foot injury, what did you do?
Y: About one and a half months I could not do anything. At first, walking was not allowed. It was not to the extent that I needed a wheelchair but walking causes quite a lot of impact to the foot. So except for things in daily life like going for treatment and getting food, I basically did not walk. During that time, I watched my own performances and other skaters' performances, and thought about how to do jumps and various things. It was also the period that overlapped with my university studies and so I did my studies.-About this season:
Y: I'm challenging the quad loop for the 1st time, so in that sense, there is a rather big change to the layout. But it's not just about the jumps, I would also like to focus on the quality of each part and the flow of the programme.
Y: Of course I can't say that I am perfectly prepared yet, but up to now, in my preparations for the season, there is nothing that I regret. I want to look ahead and do it well.
3) Oda Nobunari in a TV program this morning (15 Sept) talked about Yuzu. Angelica posted a brief translation @YHIFG FB as below:
"A Passionate Commentary"
My brief translation of what Oda-san said about Yuzu (from 3:16):
- When Hanyu-kun had to rest for 2 months, I said he would be alright (he will be able to catch up on his skating quickly once he recovers), BUT I did not see it to be like this!!! His quad loop which will be his 1st in competition and no one has done (successfully in competition) yet, it felt like he has already made it his own!
- In the SP, he did eagle-4Lo-eagle. When he did it with 3A, it was already very difficult. But now with 4Lo!!!! [Oda wrote a sign "Goodbye, humans" because of the new layout.]
- It is really unthinkable for my generation. Out of 8 jumps, 4 are quads. And with 2 more quads in SP, 6 in total. At the end, Oda and the host are pretending to wave to Yuzu who is a non-human in outer space. (haha.....)
Ah... The infamous hanyu lunge makes its return in the SPIs this part of the stsq? Different news clip have different cuts of his program I am actually confused which goes where
I wonder if there is anyone who put it all together![]()

He uses lunge before comb spin as entry now![]()

That's exactly why I mentioned 3Lo for replacementJust didn't think there was need to elaborate too much on obvious things. Concerning that 2A, well, he'll have jump it if 4Lo won't work well

amazing edition!
edit, two members beat me haha what a coincidence.

There was this interesting detail that I've noticed about jumping 4Lo- Brian said "don't cross your legs above the knee, just below the knee". Yuzu is so slim and flexible that he has to control his own flexibility in order to jump 4Lo successfully. Love these details. You see- these small things and on time adjustments save Yuzu's time and save him from falls and unnecessary stress for his body. This is why he needs a coach, this is why Brian is so good for him.
