Isn't Polina already the tallest female skater of all time? At least the elite level. Hope she stops growing taller as soon as possible. Yes, she may become the national champion this year.

Curves plus height = she looks more grown up than many senior ladies! And her jumps still seem excellent. Awesome technique. Also, her interpretation has improved much more compared to last season. My only criticism is that this SP looks like an Evgenia program - very lyrical, emotional facial expressions, etc. I actually thought Polina's programs last season were more "fierce" and I'd like to see her differentiate more from Evgenia and Yulia 1.0 (Eteri's version).
ETA: The biggest takeaway is that she genuinely looks like a senior lady. Stunning.

Now that she has artistry...I'm afraid for the rest of the field lol. This girl doesn't jump. She flies.

Agree with everything you said. She could use more of a Kostner style- less fluffy stuff and more simple movements. For her gorgeous figure, perhaps less is more.
Kostner actually does lots of stand-up posing stuff in her choreography too. Re-watching her videos lately I found when she does more armaments to fit faster paced music, her arms looked quite frantic and Gracie style. Polina can definitely achieve more than that.

I didn't think she can be this good after reading injuries and her height become 170cm+. Amazing. Her jumps still very big, good flow.:shocked:

I really liked Evgenia's programs last season but so far I think Polina>>>>>Evgenia for the shorts this season.
I never enjoyed watching Polina skating (except the red dressed SP maybe) before. Now I am waiting for what she will serve for the dramatic long, impatiently. Eteri's choreo is not bad, loved how she related the madness of Cersei with the artist Polina portrays.

I called her my future queen last season, but the future is here 
How she managed to grow so much, having to deal with a bad injury for so long, and coming out so improved I do not know. It's such a shame she's like 12 days too young to compete as a senior, I feel like we're all robbed of seeing her competing where she actually belongs. If you'd show that video to someone who doesn't know anything about her, no chance they'd guess she's a junior. Not from her skating, and not from her looks. She could also kick some live into the senior ladies ranks (and I'm one of the few people who's a little more disappointed with the current field). But oh well, next season then.

Well, Turberidze is preparing for the next season. Just in case Evgenia goes through puberty, thee is another lady that will become senior eligible who will step in.Oh my goodness!!!Tsurkaya has artistry! She really FEELS the music. Such polished skating too. Those extensions!

She may not win, but if she's clean she'll be in top3. Like Lena Ridionova during her juniors years. Though who knows, maybe presurre will get to senior ladies.... (Anna is a miracle lady in Russian field, she went to Worlds three times in a row! and I hope she'll go 4th time)

Amazing jumps!
I wish her dress is more green than blue (difference shades of green) to embody wildfire. That would have been cooler! I love that particular OST from Game of Thrones. It's a masterpiece. I edited her costume to make it green.

Polina's FS was underwhelming -- popped jumps, had a problem with a spin, and she seemed upset at the end. She won the event anyway, if not the FS. Neither of the other Russians were faultless, and the Japanese weren't great either. Overall, the Saransk FS was disappointing. The Russian girls swept the podium, but the highest FS was 115 and change.

Agree with pretty much everything that was said here. Not a fan of too much standing around, and there is a bit more than I prefer to see here. Would also see her with music a little less droning and much fiercer. But overall a beautiful skate. Props to her for handling a growth spurt and overcoming injury the way she has.

This can't be repeated enough...I can't believe how harsh people are being on her for not being 100% perfect today. Literally no skater has ever accomplished a career filled with only 100% clean skating. Not Yuna, not Plushy, not Evgenia, etc. Maybe certain people should focus on how poorly their own skaters are doing (the US jr girls are hardly lighting the world on fire) without all of the setbacks poor Polina has had.
