I have to apologise for misleading - Rukavitsyn was pretty neutral about Yuzuru, it was the journalist who mentioned Serov first and Krasnozhon second. Both students of Russian coaches - so basically, it was Russian skaters who tried the jump first and landed it.

Do you mind translating for us the part that Rukavitsyn talked about how difficult the quad loop is? I used google translate with the help of my friend so I might not understand fully. Thank you in advance.

My Russian is not that good when I read it but Rukavitsyn sounded pretty good to me here. I find his comment about the exit from the jump interesting. It coincides a bit with what Orser talked about I think, also the bit where Rukavitsyn ponders on possible program adjustments.

Thank you for the link!

I didn't know that - I thought he was a professional coach with enough achievements not to feel any need to put anyone down. :) Turns out I was mistaken and he's got loads of insecurities.
Yep, Mishin is weeeell known for bashing other skaters, not only Yuzu or Mao (I especially was sad for Mao, when Mishin said only Liza has real 3A among all current women skaters). So don't take his words seriously.

Actually for me this comparison of Yuzu's & Gachinski's 4Lo sounds very much like sour grapes

OK. The journalist said that Yuzuru's jump was much better than Krasnozhon's, but Yuzuru didn't manage to skate the rest of his programs without mistakes, and his question was whether it was 4Lo which affected him.

Rukavitsyn's answer was that 4Lo is a very difficult jump since it's not a toepick jump but an edge one, and it requires special control and cold-blooded approach. The skater must not rush the jump too soon - it requires a perfect balance of all body parts taking part in it. The slightest mistake can ruin Quad loop, the skater will either underrotate or fall. These mistakes can crop up due to stress during competitions. An athlete can concentrate on 4Lo too much, and once it's done he can relax due to euphoria. Hanyu's mistakes are probably due to this cause. But the season has barely started - it's clear that Yuzuru needs time to get used to his 4Lo.

Question: So Hanyu wasn't just experimenting with the jump and won't give it up?

R: No, I'm sure it wasn't just an experiment. I've seen Hanyu jump 4Lo before, it wasn't his ultimate goal. He does it easily enough, if easily can be used about such an element. YUzuru has time and resources to include 4Lo into his programs and not lose points while doing it. I think he'll go on executing the element. He might want to correct his program - put an easier jump after 4Lo or increase the pause before the second element. There are a lot of options.

A bit OOT here. I saw that Misha Ge is in Toronto Cricket Club now. I wonder if he is practicing there until Skate Canada, or is it for choreography purposes. Either way, I hope selfie king can get a selfie with Yuzuru.

If Misha wants a selfie with Yuzu -- and you know he does -- he'll get it. And I doubt it will only be one selfie.

When I saw that my first thought was give me a beautiful EX choreo for Yuzuru, please Misha. But seriously, he did so well for Pogo, I really would not mind!

I'll settle for a selfie ... or ten.

Yuzu has an EX from David Wilson already. I don't think Misha is a thing for Yuzu to be honest. He barely starts to create for the others.

Oh no, I know, I know but I was just (clumsily) trying to say I really would like to see them work together, I think they'd fit which is why that was my first thought and an EX seems like a safe bet. Don't ask me why I have this fixation!

From Misha Ge twitter :

"Its great to skate with Javi & Yuzu on normal session(without so much things going around)Just a peaceful training feel with great skaters"

https://twitter.com/mishageofficial/status/785641827437195264

So he is indeed there to train until SC. Grace us with your selfie (*cough* additional Yuzu in it will be great *cough*), selfie king!

I hope so  If not then we will see our boy within 2 weeks, hahah!

Some people here have psychic abilities or something? After AC, some were wondering what it would be like for Yuzu and Misha to train together, and now they will! At least for a while

I went over to Misha at Autumn Classic to ask to take a photo of him. He is exceptionally charming, so much so that I took a selfie with him, at his suggestion - & I NEVER take selfies (I only take photos OF skaters & tweet them). My friend had the same reaction to Misha. Yuzuru also seems to get a big kick out of Misha. So, I wouldn't be surprised to find some fun photos on Misha's Instagram.

I have video from a distance of Yuzuru's slip. I'll have my photos & videos from Autumn Classic up on my Flickr soon (so I have space on my phone for Skate Canada).

You get this kind of obnoxious fans sometimes. It's them who create drama out of thin air. :)

And then there are fans who just don't know what they're talking about :confused2:

Everything has a reason. If you listen to music and feel nothing - ask yourself why.
If you're critisizing someone- ask yourself why.
If you say Yuzuru's LP and music is "boring", then tell this to the people who cried during his performance- and then ask yourself why you're not able to feel the same.

Many people these days want drama 24/7, everything has to be big and bigger, they are not able to focus on the little beautiful things in life.
That's what i'm talking about.
If you don't understand this simple psychology - ask yourself why

Considering it's you who prefers to invent conspiracy theories involving Brian and Javi, your words sound very ironic. But OK, you're of course entitled to teach people manners, way of thinking and psychology. Right. Go on.
