Yes, it's a strange idea... but also really nice. And what makes me particularly happy about seeing someone else skate to the Onmyoji soundtracks is that clearly, other people discovered the music (and the movie). I'm hoping that will happen with Joe Hisaishi's music, too (not that he hasn't been well-known already, but still).
The only worry I have is the title of the program. I keep wanting to correct people when I see "Hope & Legacy". It's an almost instinctual (?) reaction. I do it, too, whenever I watch the junior grand prix, and the announcer says it's a piece by The Piano Guys. I cringe every time, because every music piece turns out to be simply an arrangement of some pretty classical music piece, and they gave it a different name completely. I guess I have some personal issues with that kind of thing, mixing existing pieces of music and giving it a completely different name.
