actually I think it's Yuzuki, but point taken

Ahahaha, i am used to change the male names just adding -ko at the end (no, it doesn't happen often :P ) Yuzuki sounds better actually :D. The point is, Yuzuki can wear all the skirts in the world! Boobskirt, half-skirt, lettuce skirt... It's OK DESU

Yuzu is so beautiful ... Your excess cuteness is charming. He conveys so much peace, strength and joy. It is impossible not to love him and wish him only good things.

"Wish him only good things" i agree with that! I want to see him being happy :D even if that meant at some point that he would stop skating (there was a program with Shoma and Oda where he said that in 15 years he probably won't be skating anymore... At least that's what i understood!) but if that means he is going to be happy, i'm going to support him whatever he does :D

Please tell me I'm not the only one who made the connection ... Right ... ? Tell me ... :coffee:

Wow, I’ve never seen this video. The part introducing the Sendai glass and the Sendai glass artist was interesting. Before ACI, I was thinking that the costume for H&L would be this sort of green. This might not be your intention, but thank you for the link!:thank:

I have just seen this fancam of Yuzuru's practice at AU http://youtu.be/cnwCR5LM6S4?t=2m19s

Very good angle and from this I can see his Flip has an obviously correct inside edge now (though a bit shallow). Last season I still remember it was a bit flat. I am so glad he has improved his Flip to this point.

I wouldn't be able to sleep for a week if i was you! I hope you have a great time there♥
Edit: looks like i hit the 100post mark! Finally, i was saving my avatar for this moment haha♥

Happy 100! :party2:

Welcome to all the new posters and lurkers. Don't be afraid to post often!

Disney should definitely pay him for promoting pooh or something. Yesterday i went to my local Disney Store and bought a medium Pooh tsum tsum. I needed something to hug for the next week! (and it is so fluffy! You can't help but to squish Pooh-san♥). I was planning on buying a small one to accompany my calendar but no, i needed something squish-able to get through the season

Hi all!
I have a question for Japanese fans mostly. How possible it is to buy a ticket for NHK Trophy? I've read last year's discussion on this forum and it seems like almost impossible. What about this year? I'm planning a trip to Japan next year in November so I don't know try to include possible NHK dates in my trip or don't even start trying? When the dates and the place of the next year NHK usually is announced?
Buy the way whats the best time for momiji in Tokyo-Kyoto (maybe Hiroshima) region - late (11-25 Nov) or mid (4-18 Nov) November?
Thanks in advance!

I also watch him with a Pooh bear  it's dressed as a wizard so it will be perfect for SC as it will almost be Halloween

I'm not Japanese but I have tried asking my friends in Japan to buy me NHK tix before. Not that it is impossible. It is based on lottery, so there is no guarantee. Unless you want to bid and pay extra (even they have created a system to limit black-market/secondhand selling now).

As to date and place of the next year’s NHK trophy, they will probably announce the host city at the end of this year’s exhibition. Usually the MC says something like “This concludes the NHK trophy 2016. See you in (the city’s name) next year.” I think you can find an example in past seasons’ NHK trophy gala videos. The date will be announced by ISU in June, and the venue will be announced by JSF or NHK after that maybe…? (not sure)

As to how to buy a ticket from outside of Japan, there is not much I can say for sure, because I’ve never tried it from outside of Japan and the system changes every year. Maybe you can find some info from Tickets section of this page. The agency site seems to block access from Japan, so I can’t check the site by myself. I hope you can find some useful info there.

In Japan, most of the tickets are sold in presales in early autumn. You have to win lottery in most cases, and sometimes you also need to have a credit card, an address in Japan, or a smart phone/tablet device which can run an e-ticket app. NHK trophy ticket is always hard-to-get, but not sure how it will be in next year. It depends on assigned skaters, the location and the size of the venue, etc.

Best time for momiji depends largely on weather and type of the tree, but in late November you can enjoy it in many places. Maybe this site will be helpful. Enjoy planning your trip!

I know this is old, but I just stumbled upon it again and I've been laughing for five minutes straight

Fanart

Well, runrun8383 on twitter has already created shortly after AIC a serie of fan art about chibi "forest fairy" Yuzu and it's both adorable and beautiful.
She even made a small clip compilation of it:

OTHER

I'm not sure if this was posted before but I didn't realized ISU updated his Bio's abstract note.
He is the first skater to perform a clean quadruple loop in competition (2016 Autumn Classics in Canada). Hanyu became the first skater to surpass a total score of 300 points (322.40 points at NHK Trophy 2015).
They should have included first to 100/SP & 200/FS as well

I found this from twitter @Iron_Klaus:
https://twitter.com/Iron_Klaus/status/788303133080510464

Tetsuya Kumakawa, former principal Dancer with the Royal Ballet said this about Yuzuru:

"Yuzuru Hanyu not only has a beautiful body, but his landings are graceful. This is because he mastered the plié in ballet terms. To be able to jump high you need to master. this. In his case, his awareness extends to a place beyond the ground (ice)."

If i am not mistaken, i saw in twitter that Nobunari Oda said on TV that with his costume for the FS, Yuzu looked like a "forest fairy". He does have the grace of a fairy
Edit: A piece of fanart related to the moment hahaha

By the way, this is an online dictionary I use. Look at the ranking on the right. "legacy" is still in the top 10 words looked up as of today. It was in first for a while after an announcement which we all know

http://ejje.weblio.jp/

Anyway, I think it is true Yuzuru sounds a bit younger (or can I say "more innocent tone"?) when he speaks foreign languages than he does Japanese.

This is a tweet by はる explaining about the StSq in Hope & Legacy. (This person became Yuzuru's fan after Sochi, and started studying about figure skating techniques. I'm sure she knows much more than I do already, although I've been watching figure skating some xxxx-ty years )

- モホーク Mohawk
- ブラケット Bracket
- チョクトー Choctaw
- ループ Loop
- ロッカー Rocker
- ツイズル Twizzle
- 時計回り Clock Wise - CW in red letters
- 反時計回り Counter Clock Wise - CCW in blue letters

The second video of the same tweet is explaining the difference between Mohawk and Choctaw. Difficult to tell the difference for me again.

Another tweet explaining the same StSq by abbyuzu.

- スリーターンズ Three turns

There is difference from the first one. I confess I don't have any ability to distinguish.

For your reference as well as my reference:

はる is studying about turns. Explanation of Three turn by Takahito, Bracket by Yuzuru, Rocker by Shoma and Counter by Javi. So cute

https://twitter.com/GOEplus5agetyau/status/755194553703931905

The bottom table explanation:

Edge before/after the turn: Same
Different

Body twisting when turning: Following the curve before the turn.
Against the curve before the turn.

I wish I had better eyes to distinguish them
