Surely Evgenia is intelligent enough to know the cameras are on her and would not be mocking another skater (doubt she would do it even without cameras). People are so desperate to find any reason to bash that girl...aren't there better things to talk about?

Russian Nationals is going to be a bloodbath. I would have probably had Julia above Elena but it is shaping up to be a clear Russian sweep. So who will make Worlds? Evgenia and Anna seem a good bet but Julia, Elizaveta or Elena... who will get the third spot??

I like Evgenia and Elena and Russian lady drama . Pretending everybody likes each other when they obviously don't is ridiculous. I'm not saying nastiness should be encouraged, but genuine rivalries with personality clashes are interesting! (Yagudin verses Plushenko?) Not all teenage girls like each other, and I don't think we need to pretend otherwise.

And I didn't know Russian forums were known for being full of it!

Zijun Li deserves a higher score. Maybe 67 to 69 would have been fair. Also I'm a little disappointed with Yulia's performance. She had a morose expression the entire time. I know her program is about lost love but I feel she could have a little more joy on her face.

El7zabet! What a great skate until the fall. She was just whizzing along. I was impressed. She is so petite, but I thought her speed and attack was better than before.

As an aside, I thought Radionova's dress was really great. That program has improved greatly from the test skate, or wherever it was that we saw it. Some people are clunky in their figure skates, but elena's feet
always look good.

Thoughts from the short program about the Russian ladies:
1. I was surprised that Yulia got lowballed with PCS in her HOME COUNTRY, and I would have her component scores at least a point or two above Elena's.
2. Lovely to see Anna selling her step sequence, she's a firecracker when she's at her best.
3. Elena's step sequence was really funny and I thought she hit every accent very well. That might be why Evgenia was laughing? Anyway I thought she was overscored considering the axel misstep and her scratchy jumps in general.
