Figure Skating in Australia

Re: Holly, she actually just turned 14 a week or so ago. Happy birthday, Holly!

And goodness, she's already three points up from her JGP event last month. I really hope we see her at junior worlds... and if she keeps improving at that rate, top 10 perhaps? :luv17:

Wow she looks so young

Great score and very high pcs - she has much better artistry than Kailani and would probably beat all the seniors at the moment . Who ever did her choreography is very good - it's extremely intricate . Lovely to see an Australian skating looking graceful and not so aggressive . Living overseas obviously is paying off for Holly and Brendan

Seriously?! Can't you ever just be happy? Must you always make these snide remarks every time you post about Australian skating?

Wow I forgot no one else is allowed an opinion except you Karne. It was a positive comment - you are being overly sensitive and I've read many of your comments about other skaters in a similar fashion. Other people express opinions like this on all the forums about skaters from all over the world. Give Holly credit where it's due and she would probably give the seniors a scare ! She is much better than kailani was at that age - let's hope she gets all the support Kailani has.

Massive applause to Holly. I'm really looking forward to seeing her develop.

Must have been great skates from Brooklee and Kailani - 8th and 3rd respectively after the SP!

I was trying to watch the ladies SP at the same time as TdF but I think my poor internet was going to explode.

Brendan had a bit of a rough skate at TdF but so did a lot of other people. He got his spin and step levels though, and he's in 9th place after the SP.

And I think Kimberly and Timothy got the SD TES for 4CC!

Congratulations to Kailani for holding onto third place in the Senior Ladies Division at the Volvo Cup.
Sadly, a disappointing result for Brooklee- I hope she bounces back and gets on top of her jumps soon.

Team Australia is at the Challenger Series Warsaw Cup this weekend! I think it's pretty safe to say this will be the last international outing for any of Team Australia before Nationals.

As always, times are AEDT.

Live stream should appear somewhere here apparently.

MEN - Mark Webster
SP: Saturday 19th Nov, 9pm - 11:50pm
LP: Sunday 20th Nov, 10:30pm - 1:40am (Mon)

LADIES - Kailani Craine
SP: Friday 18th Nov, 11pm - 3:30am
LP: Sunday 20th Nov, 2:30am - 8am

PAIRS - Katia Alexandrovskaya/Harley Windsor
SP: Saturday 19th Nov, 3:40am - 4:50am
LP: Sunday 20th Nov, 9pm - 10:20pm

I am hoping very much that their withdrawal was precautionary only.

Kailani is 5th after the SP, Mark skates tonight.

Congratulations Kailani for stunning silver at the CS Warsaw Cup. I think trying to crack the top 10 at 4 continents would be something good to aim for next year.

Also good to see Mark improve since the Autumn Classic. Hope to hear more from the skaters in Andorra soon.

So William and Matilda, as well as Adele and Demid have earned the TES minimum for the SD (19.00)
If they get the free dance, they will be off to four continents.

That will only leave Kimberley and Tim getting the SD minimum

Argh, really frustrated that I missed we had skaters in Andorra. :bang: Really glad that our dancers are doing so well! How great would that be, three teams at 4CC? I hope everyone gets their minimus!

No worries. There wasnt a live stream offered or anything. They dont seem to do live results either.

Chantelle got very high results here as well - it seems not all competitions are equal in terms of marks - it seems to be pot luck either with strong competition or judging

Good luck to the dancers
