I go to sleep for a few hours and this thread flies

Hmm, yes it does seem like he thinks popped jumps are hurting him too much so he tried two variants. I am getting headaches.

Anyway, Practice schedule for him should be soon. Waiting for news reports after he finishes later.
Taisuke Goto seems to be live tweeting practice reports.
He said Hanyu landed 3A3T after doing 1A (just business). Do multiple single loops before that too. He said Hanyu seems to be doing well on the 3A (though this is not really unexpected or anything)

Actually is it live streamed or open? I saw a fan tweeting about his practice too. S/he could be a journalist or photographer though (said he landed multiple 4Los, landed 4S3T and 4T. Anyone can confirm these?

His FS runthrough from the twitter above + some other : 4Lo, 2S, 3F /// 4S3T (or2T, two conflicting reports here), 2T, 3A3T, 3A1Lo3S last jump seems to be 4T from ina bauer huh?:shocked:

ETA : Actually many fans are tweeting practice reports so seems like the practice is open for today? :scratch2:

Now the mystery solved.today the time of opening enterance is in the time of practice. So many fans actually go to see his practice this morning. He recovered 4t replacing final lutz. :drama: Its their surprise.

Do you guys think he will keep prince for the Olympics?

I'd say that it depends how well he can perform it.

I would think the top skaters tend to keep a program mostly if they were unable to fully perform it? Which was the case for Yuzu's Chopin, or Javier's Malaguena (neither had performed it fully clean the first year they used it), or Jason's Piano lesson (because he didn't really get to perform it that many times last year).

But once you nail a program, and basically get the best possible score for it... well, to me, it would be pointless to keep it. You'd have nothing to gain and everyone (including you) woud just get bored.

I get that logic but what was the point of keeping PW? not that im complaining :)

Well thank heaven for early entrance so we get reports! I thought this year they finally decide to open it hahahah

I think in olympics season back then in his and his coach mind maybe it is best to keep the SP that he is already so consistent and comfortable doing. Can't really afford to lose points in the SP during the olympics.

He was still pretty young and they probably thought they could get more out of this program than he had been able to perform?
Or maybe he didn't have as much money back then, and it was cheaper to just keep his short?
Or he had to perform ina lot of summer shows and he wouldn't have had time to work on two brand new programs?
Reasons could be endless

I mean, I don't know, obviously, I'm not part of their inner circle (nor their outer cirle actually, I'm in no circle at all :laugh2: ). But yeah, to me, level of performance, nowadays, is what makes them decide to keep a program or not.

Oh ok :) well its too early to be talking about next season right ;)

I thought when he announced his new programmes for the first time that he would actually keep the free because it is somehow connected to the Olympics (and Yuzu loves doing symbolic things, like doing another R&J in 2014). But I wouldn't be against him keeping the short to maximize his chances of winning (In 2014 he won because of the SP, and more exactly because of his 3A that Chan missed in the SP). And I wouldn't be against seeing more of those tight pants on him ^^(plus he can still tweak things around and brush the programme up to new levels of perfection). Anyway, I definitely think he will at least keep one of his programmes for OG.

Personally I hope Yuzu gets a new program next season. I mean, purple reign (:laugh2:) is great, however I can't help but stare at places I'm not supposed to...... :o:

I'm curious, is it because of the type of material and the colour which changes tone depends on the angle which makes it more revealing ? Or is the pants tighter than previous ones?

I can even see his thigh muscles definition . I like tight pants on Yuzu :p, especially his practice pants :luv17:

I said waaaaaay back, just before sp started, that I thought the pants were tighter... or maybe the material is more clingy.... maybe he is getting more daring in his older age.

Not sure if the white pants were as... um... not-good-thoughts-provoking :o: but that may be due to the color being rather blinding.

I'm sure even in a new program, he would wear something like that, maybe in flesh color and bling (like Gracie's LP dress ) just to annoy the judges
