Ok? I just don't know why they keep whining about it when it happens to everyone. And it's not even that bad compared to the criticism some other skaters get. They strike me as unbelievably thin-skinned.
D/R is a very special case. They haven't had controversial wins; usually when they win people say they didn't like the style but their placement isn't wrong (I am not debating about whether you think they are overscored or not).
They get criticism directly from their competitors. You don't see the Russian ladies saying mean things about each other, Patrick and Yuzuru aren't calling each other names, Ashley and Gracie aren't criticizing each other's styles in mean ways during USFSA's commercials during Nationals pitting them against each other. Maxim Trankov has said some very mean things about them and as someone they used to respect, it is very mean spirited. His comments on banning quads were as a result of his dislike for them and always saying they are single skaters skating in pairs.
At the same time, Meagan gets a lot of Twitter comments saying she looks ugly/looks like a man. They are targeting her muscular form. I remember seeing Eric calling it out and Gabby Daleman defending her on Twitter. These comments are disgusting and she directly confronted it. Someone on Youtube was leaving comments accusing her of doping because her face looked too masculine.
Patrick and V/M don't directly confront it because they just ignore it but different people different styles. There is nothing wrong with defending themselves and calling it out.

so i guess we are done here
