so many gifable moments in this. lol

Youtube is blocked at work :( i'm dying to see it

I can't stop watching the KoiDance either, i am so jealous of the way he moves his hips and i am a belly dancer. I had to work extra hard yesterday in class so i didn't feel inadequate compared to that fabulous hip shaking.
Oda-san! I beg you, please make him dance in his next tv appearance, i am dying to see his expressions. (And his hair shakes fabulously too oh my god help me).
It is a good thing that he is only three-ish years younger than me  i don't feel bad about staring

haha if I were home I'd gif it for you
I'm also almost 3 years older and boy did I feel creepy watching his skates from prior to the Olympics

It's funny that even some of the commentators underestimate him still. I forget who it was, but in some of the NHK coverage a commentator remarked that the quad loop was not even the smartest investment of time because it would be so difficult for him to ever get it in combination.

Wait for it...

Love the picture of Xinyu and Yuzu

As for the incident, well lets just say I'm glad Chinese fans nipped that in the bud ASAP. :palmf: I hope he gets a chance to skate in China again before you know what, since he has so many fans there.

:handw: Absolutely nothing sweeter than proving the doubters wrong.

That was the female commentator of BESP. She would be glad to be proven wrong though, since she was very complimentary of him. :p

Yuzuru Hanyu

Chinese ice dancer @Ice-dance柳鑫宇 posted two photos of Hanyu on his weibo account.

Lol. Though this wasn't really new since some has said the same thing about his 4S back then and then about his 3-quad LP too. His 2-quad SP is save from doubters' comments because he nailed it in the first try :laugh2:

Let's Go Crazy AC vs SC vs NHK

Let's Go Crazy NHK SP vs Gala part1, part2

Hope & Legacy SC vs NHK

The Swan SC vs NHK

Thank you for these! I wanted to see everything side by side, especially the LP, and now after Shae Lynn's interview I'm even more amazed at everything he wants to convey, his emotions are on full display every time and I love it, I can't help but feel proud and happy for him. :yahoo:

Also I agree, he looks so cute in those gifs! :luv17: he's a cinnamon roll!!

I think that Yuzuru's SP is so jam-packed with transitions that there's literally no room for mistakes. Make a stumble - and it affects the next element. We saw it a couple of times when his mistake in the 4Sal-3T combinations also decreased his spin level.
:frown: he is making it so hard for himself.

Not only Yuzu is making it so hard for himself, but also his actual schedule is the hardest , if it's true Yuzu went back to Canada for one week of training .

He skated to NHK SP on November 25 th and will skate to GPF SP on December 8 th, less than 2 weeks between two competitions, while his main rivals rested; in the same period he flew from America to Asia , then from Asia to America and he's going to fly from America to Europe , which means 3 intercontinental trips and jet lag more or less in two weeks, while his main rivals will have one.

To compete at his best he will have to prove to be an alien once again.

I'm scared to think about JN blood bath, when Yuzu's intercontinantal trips ( and jet lag) will be 4 at least in one month.

Thanks for this Meoima! I assume it is our Fayruza here who translate this? Thank you too :thank:

Ah, so my impression was right, Yuzuru did the less crossovers and Patrick did reduce his transition in between elements compared to his past programs. Though this is not a surprise, nice to have it laid out and spread out like this.

Yep, I've had passports with my name spelt both ways. :)

Whee, Thank you Fayruza! Glad my assumption is not wrong and I thank the correct person, rather than that there is another Fairuza who happened to like figure skating too hahaha

[Translation based on @bibi]

This girl (blog user) had left the world to be an angel in the afternoon of 11/28. She had suffered from cancer since 14yo for ten years, but she never gave up because she promised to cheer for Yuzu together.

On 11/25, at her request, the doctor reduced the amount of medicine for her because she wanted to appreciate Yuzu's SP and LP performance consciously. Despite the pain, she felt really content when she saw Yuzu winning the NHK Trophy. Before she went to heaven, the last thing she watched was the EX Notte Stella. May she rest in peace.

She wrote a lot in her blog about how she looked forward to Yuzu in Pyeongchang which makes me really sad
"In my short life time, I am lucky enough to encounter an angel"
“私達は、どんな時も、どんな時の貴方も、いつも、いつまでも、応援します。貴方の背中で、貴方の思い願う羽が広がりますように。” (I don't know Japanese so I can't translate this)

Here's the link to the blog: http://t.cn/RfEM8fg
But it has changed to non-public due to media attention. (ugh...leave them alone!)
Japanese media wanted to interview the mother of the girl but the family refused because they don't want unnecessary attention and believe that it may trouble Yuzu in the middle of the season.
