On 11/25, at her request, the doctor reduced the amount of medicine for her because she wanted to appreciate Yuzu's SP and LP performance consciously. Despite the pain, she felt really content when she saw Yuzu winning the NHK Trophy. Before she went to heaven, the last thing she watched was the EX Notte Stella. May she rest in peace.
She wrote a lot in her blog about how she looked forward to Yuzu in Pyeongchang which makes me really sad

It is so important to be kind, generous and sympathetic to others and yourself. How wonderful is it to say that you inspire someone or make them happy for even one moment, I think that's something we should all aspire to even in the smallest of ways.My Japanese is really rough but it roughly translates to "We will, no matter what time, no matter which you, always, always cheer for you. Very sad story. I lost my grandma to cancer earlier this year before attending worlds in Boston. She used to be a big figure skating fan and we would talk about the competitions. So I thought about her a lot while I was there and how I wished I could tell her about my experiences. But yeah it's just an example of how life is too short and we shouldn't waste the opportunities we have.
I went to Japan last year for my 30th birthday. I turned 30 while over there. So on the plan ride back a Japanese flight attendant was taking orders for drinks and I asked for wine. She asked my age, I told her 30 (which still felt weird to me to say) and she did a double take in disbelief, lol. I felt even more flattered considering she was Japanese and they are already used to people looking much younger than usual lol.
I am impressed at how fluffy his cheeks look considering how thin he is, they are like two pieces of mochi and i want to squeeze them and fill them with little kisses, the kind you give to your pets.
And i totally relate because i'm almost 25 yet some people still ask me if i'm a freshman in high school

Apparently at Weibo Yuzuru's FS from NHK Trophy reached +16 million views, was reposted +19,000 times, had +5700 comments and +30,000 likes until yesterday, since I don't know how to check it now. :eeking: I know that weibo has tons of people (well, and all of China of course) but this compared to the almost 300,000 at the most watched video of this performance in youtube is just too much, is it standard for skating videos at weibo to reach this much? If so, Chinese skating fans seem really enthusiastic. Suddenly I remember the Pooh rain at 2015 Worlds.

Yes indeed. As an active weibo user, I can say that Yuzuru is way more popular than any other figure skaters in China. The amount of views is fishy (basically most Chinese viewing platform multiply the view counts to make an impression that their sites are popular), but that weibo undeniably is very popular - the amount of comments and likes don't lie!
I feel so lucky that I can read Chinese - the fansites are so well-managed that I get updates, subtitles and translation for everything.
Figure skating is never a popular sports in China, but thanks to Yuri on Ice and Yuzuru's physical appearance that really appeals to Chinese (media called him "a boy so unrealistically beautiful as if he's from an Anime"), more people are attracted to Figure Skating recently. There's also an extremely popular mobile game in China that is about SEIMEI so Yuzu's popularity soars when everyone is reposting his performance. I personally have no problem with people mistakenly associating Yuzu with Yuri, but I really wish that more people can go beyond that and appreciate the beauty of his performance and the sports itself.

His English improves a lot! But "I am so happy" never change.
EDIT: the way he struggles with his tongue is so cute haha but it's a great effort to be able to pronounce to "r" sound as a Japanese.
