Wow, it suits music so well that it is really beautiful. Of course, the fact that the music itself is goergous helps too. :biggrin:I'm already wondering how Yuzuru would skate to Shoma's music and I'm sorta getting Notte Stellata 2.0, heh.

Me too. That leg kick after the 3A in the SP? Amazing. The twizzles exit in Notte Stellata? Absolutely goergous.

Omg, now I want Notte Stellata to be redone into a competitive program for the next year. If only he could get the judges not to count the 1A as a jump but as a transition. Well, he could if he did it after all the jumps in the chore sequence in LP... I'd better stop now.

I have wanted that since we first saw it and have been thinking of possible jumps and alterations. Don't go there, that way lies pain :laugh: :palmf:
 
Finally got off work and saw the SP! Wow, love his program as a whole, miles better than when we first had a glimpse of it back in the fall. Impressed!

We all know he can jump better (not just the 4lo save but the 3A landing is not to his usual super high standard), but it's just like he said before (paraphrasing), even on an off day as far as jumps go he can still perform the program well and be in the lead! I love how he seems really excited and happy to be on the ice skating, and you can see the audience getting so into the program as well!

When I saw the starting order for the FP, I thought it's good that he will have zero pressure as far as knowing if his two biggest competitors had big scores or not. Can someone remind me if he did mention before how he is not great in the 4th position? Does he prefer last or second to last, or skating after his biggest competitors? :scratch2:

He likes skating 1st or last or second to last iirc. He said he dislikes skating 2nd and 3rd.
IMO, I think it is more to him having to skate before his main rivals than skating order per se. He usually does better when he skates after his main rivals.
However, all this is psychological and he needs to overcome this, he can't depend on luck of skating order to skate well. He did fairly well skating his FS before Patrick at SC this year and Nathan at NHK. So maybe he is finding ways to get over this. I think the FS in Saturday is a good chance for him to get rid off those psyching over skating order :)

Well said. I do find him to be more calm in mind this season. I hate to say this but you always learn more when you fail.
 
Just saw PJ Kwong's interview with Yuzu+Pooh and the takeaway for me was that Pooh has a huge head :eek:

He probably put solving the skating order issue on his list of "assignments" that he needs to complete. He's wonderfully self-analytic for someone so young; I admire the way he identifies what he sees as his weaknesses and then methodically goes about correcting them. He's a smart kid.

I only keep wondering how anybody can be able to hold a camera so steady filming this :laugh: I couldn't even sit straight after two seconds
 
just watched Yuzuru's short and WOW! it was really great, loved the energy and the confidence :love: and I join the club of those :eeking: wondering how he landed that quad Loop
 
Just saw a comment on utube...."Omg the return of the purple pants of sin!!!" :laugh2:


SP with no commentary. When the score was about to announced, can hear Brian saying 110?

YESSSSSSSS I'M SO HAPPY!!! I'm actually a bit happy it still wasn't perfect, because you know it'll only get better from now on ;) Now on to the free!!

Can't believe he landed that 4Lo lol, and what was with the 3A? But whatever... he really really emoted and played with the audience today :luv17:

the b.esp commentators become bigger and bigger yuzu fans with every performance!! :laugh: they're officially my favorite commentators by far :biggrin:
