I'm glad she's keeping the 3Lo :drama: Praying for clean SP. Even if she gets a UR call on the 3-3 she's still going to score around 70 thanks to the 3Lo.

Yes, the 3Lo is here to stay, I think. Also crossing fingers that things go well for her in the SP tonight!

The article also says she's been practicing to speak louder in interviews, has been trying to become more sociable after entering Kansai University, is always looking to communicate with foreign skaters in English and she loves reading books in a quiet library.
 
I would love to see her do well in the sp, not just for the usual reasons, but for the added reason of wanting to hear her english in the press conference.

Her english is actually quite good. I hope she is top 3 as well but we shall see.

I also notice on her 2a/3toe that her toe is the better jump and it's usually the exactly opposite for most, the first jump is usually the better one, lol.

Which is why she had two 2A-3T combos in her FS up until now but people wouldn't stop complaining about it.
 
I have only heard her say a few sentences in english and, yes, it was good, but I want to hear more than just a sentence or two. I noticed then that her accent is pretty good, probably due to a couple of her formative years being in the States.

Yeah she sounds a little more natural with it. But if it doesn't happen here then at least there will be 4CC!

As long as they give her 7s in PCS I'm gonna side-eye whoever says she was overscored today. But - I've got more important things to do, such as updating her PB on the OP. :cool:
 
:hap10: No carrots! I'm really happy for her,she deserved a score like that after the last ones. Now she has to slay at LP.
And her english is very good, she was so cute!
 
Well that 3T looked UR to me but like I said, as long as they're giving her junior level PCS something's gotta make up for it.
 
Just as I thought, her accent, or should I lack of accent, is very good. However, I think the glare of the media was a little much because she definitely used "speed" and "speedy" too much in one answer, lol. Very funny, and that is not a criticism. I think she did very well. I think many of the skaters who are not native speakers probably speak English better when they are not in interview/press conference situations. It is not easy for anyone to be interviewed, but in another language as well? Kudos to her and Evgenia for doing so well.

She skated very well today. Leading off is never easy and she certainly started everyone off on the right note. It was a great segment.
