Well, that was not the win I expected, but honestly, I had prepared myself for a "not-win", so it's actually way better :laugh2:

Everybody was sort of saying he shouldn't be peaking to early, and apparently he's listened :agree:

Next up, Nationals! (and then 4CC and Worlds? I think in that order?). Still a lot of work to do.

I think I'm getting better, as a fan, because I'm becoming more concerned with how well he's doing overall rather than with what medal hangs around his neck  (I'm still super happy when it's gold, though, who wouldn't be? :p )

I think if mama Orser succesfully tells Yuzuru to put that 4S3T aside, it means mama Orser has to agree to let him do 4lz in competition.
Or trying 4A... :drama:
Yeah, that's the only way to trade things with Yuzuru. So one 4Lz instead of 4S3T. Though even then I can imagine him trying to sneak it in...
His SP 4S3T is just brilliant though!

I just checked, did manage to record the Dutch commentary, but not sure if there's interest in it now? I mean, these commentators aren't the biggest Yuzu fans on a brilliant day, so.. might be rather critical.

When I saw Shoma getting on that podium so carefully, Hanyu looked like he asked him why, and Shoma did that shake thing to signify that the podium didn't seem very stable. That's when I remembered Hanyu had jumped onto his, and I was like :eeking: So scary.
Thank goodness it didn't collapse under him then! :)
And I have a sneaking suspicion I've seen that podium already... at Worlds 2012. Am I very wrong?

I think my brain is fried after that Men's event... :drama: The ice just looked so bad I think it stayed wet the entire Men's event. It's so ridiculous how badly organized this event was.

I'm happy that he pulled out a win and is in good spirits. I think that would make him motivated to improve but not overtrain too much. The Yuzucam during Javi's replay and the medal ceremony were golden!

Congratulations Yuzu for the record breaking 4th consecutive GPF gold medal.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I don't think this FS was disastrous at all. He landed three quads and two 3As (ok the latter was a bit shaky so he couldn't jump a triple sal on it just a double). The 4S3T was just predictable, that is the one which causes the big problem right now. The timing of the jump is so wrong it looks like he is completely out of rhythm. I still think he should jump a 4S combo in the first half of the program. The singled lutz was very cosly at the end, but he always rotates it (sometimes with a fall), so this mistake today may be out of stamina issues.

I am just happy he had this mistakes today and NOT at 4CC or Worlds. He still has time to learn and improve.
As for the others, I was definitely more disappointed in Javi's and Patrick's skating than Yuzu's. I believe in him and I am sure this will motivate him even more to work harder.

I cannot stop laughing because all I'm think about now is the Russians are coming ... for Yuzuru :laugh2: Seriously though, so sweet of her and they look lovely!
We Russians love attractive men - and we can't get enough of them ;)
At least they have a bloody good taste, I have to say...

I am happy for Yuzuru for winning but sad about the FS
The 4loop is improving and becoming more consistent
The 4sal-3toe combo in the second half seem to be a mental problem rather than physical because he was able to do it in the SP with the same entry and position.
This 3A-loop-2Sal is scaring me (is it fatigue?)
The lutz :palmf:
Anyway I hope with more physical and mental strength he will be amazing at nationals and most importantly at Worlds!

So happy he won and so happy it is over coz I could no eat past two days as I was too nervous. Feel sorry for Javi, but his jumps were not good in the practice either. His best in this season is yet to come. It was my first time to see Yuzu performance in person and I loved it  Hope he will fix 4s combo. He landed them without music almost always in practice, but when it comes to doing it with music......

OK, honestly, congratulations, Yuzu - you made it. I really didn't expect you to - what with the injury, and little time after NHK and your upping your content, but you certainly did it - you won against all the odds. You might have been considered a favourite, but you had it harder than most of the men you were competing against. Congratulations on winning over yourself and not giving up.
And that's a beautiful program, really! I can see you put a special significance into it. I love Seimei, but I think I love this one as well.

You have excellent taste  And Yuzuru could do much, much worse, considering the wonderful, talented, gorgeous ladies that all of them are ... Zhenya will of course, defend her territory fiercely, after all she got to hold Pooh. No but seriously, her crush is the most adorable thing!

Sorry I have to rant...

Seriously that medal is so UGLY and CHEAP!!!

GPF is the 3rd most prestigious event after Olympic and WC. How come they do that? I can make a BETTER medals than that just by my hands. :roll5:
