So I replied that if there is a possibility that JSF will not send him to 4CC due to him skipping national, you will see him risk his health to compete at national.
Yes, and if there was a possibility that an alien abduction might keep him from going to Worlds, then you will probably see him wear a tinfoil hat if that were the only way to prevent it. Good thing we got all theoretical possibilities covered here.

By the way, the minimum word count for a post is not 3500. Just in case you didn't know.

That doesn't sound like it was a 4A in a harness. This guy, I swear, I don't know whether to go :palmf: or :laugh2: but it's definitely a :slink:

To be serious for a second, I'm not surprised. He wants it, it's obvious and controlling people like Yuzuru is not possible, just minimizing the potential danger. So Brian probably has him in a harness for the 4A on a regular basis, simply to get that out of Yuzuru's system and just pretends those YOLO 4As don't exist otherwise he'd go bald.

Here's hoping today is a better day for Yuzuru and he's recovering well.

I think we all pretend that those YOLO 4As don't exist :laugh2:
Now that Yuzu was directly asked if he has practiced it before and completely avoided answering that, just saying "YES. 4A. MY DREAM. WILL DO", Brian saying that "it's a possibility", and now him actually saying that he has seen it... I hope all this doesn't mean that it's more real than we thought in Hanyuese, because i've seen it popping out more often
I mean, i would be so proud if he was the first to land it but... :slink:
Although in my mind there is this adorable scene of Brian skating towards a tiny Yuzu, catching him mid air: "NO 4A NOW!!" and Yuzu fighting and kicking to get back on the ice like a capricious little kitty

My point/implication is he will only withdraw from national when his 4CC spots and WC spots are guaranteed by JSF. That's in response to someone's question about whether he will be sent to 4CC due to missing national. Some fans believe JSF might not send him to 4CC if he misses national. So I replied that if there is a possibility that JSF will not send him to 4CC due to him skipping national, you will see him risk his health to compete at national. So the fact he withdrew from national means his 4CC and WC spots are secured. Every competition is risky. Athletes rarely compete with perfect health. It's only a question of whether you think the competition is important enough for you to risk your health. National is only important because it decides your worlds/olympics/4CC berth. You will risk your health to compete in national if that's the only way you can be sent to worlds/4cc/olympics. If you can make the worlds/4cc/olympics team without competing in national, then national isn't that important any more and it's not worth taking the risk.

In addition, JSF does have the incentive to allow him to skip national. It's easier for them to justify sending him to 4cc/worlds without him competing in national (they have exceptions in their 4cc/worlds selection criteria), than to justify him not competing in Asian games after winning national (since they have made no exception in their Asian games selection criteria). Asian Games get a lot more attention form the public and the media than 4CC. JSF will get a lot of public criticism for going against their own rules and allowing their national champs to skip Asian Games when Japan is the host country of Asian Games.

No doubt about it or we will see Yuzu competing with ice pack on his forehead

:laugh2: Every time I see a new grey hair I know who's responsible for it, lbr.

I said before the way he spoke of it sounded to me as if it's an active issue. 4Lz probably has priority but after that ... party!

You mean when Brian's not looking ?
I haven't had so many emotions at once until i became a serious Hanyu fan :laugh2: "YAY 4Aaaaaah... uuuh... STOP!"

Yuzuru is a considerate boy. He doesn't want Brian to lose his hair. Or die of shock.

Being a Hanyu fan is hard work for the nerves and heart but what a ride ah? So worth it!

Yeah but i'm sure those quads are so tempting ...
Oh yes, it is worth it! The rewards are immense :D

LOL! No wonder when asked about it during ice talk Brian was pretty casual about it. He has seen it happening.
I wonder what kind of crazy stuff Brian witness every day in practices. We got :eeking: at him doing 2S1lo4S and 4S1lo4S, but who knows what he did when people are not watching.
I dread to think about it. :)

News23 : Yuzuru part. Anyone know what Yuzu was saying here? (I heard badminton and I assumed it is about rio)
(Also he seems to be ranked (?) 7th in something but I can't really Japanese so I don't know what it is)

Loosely translated.... It's a review of the top 10 "scenes" (moments?) in sports this year. Yuzu's 4-peat at GPF made #7. Then they asked him what his favorite was, and he said it was from badminton when the Japanese ladies double won gold. I the It was the first time for the Japanese to take gold in badminton, and there was a lot of pressure on them. He had a similar experience in Sochi, so he was able to really get into it/ support them.

Something about the best scene he picked for 2016, which is the badminton event at Rio (Japanese won the women double). Forgive my poor Japanese if I was wrong:palmf:

Thank you so much! :thank:

'James Richards, a biomechanist at the University of Delaware, told LiveScience.com he does not think a quintuple is possible.
"To do a quint, we would have to have somebody built like a pencil," Richards said.'

How many times have we heard BESP uncles say 'Hanyu is pencil thin' haha oh no :drama:
Lol Yuzuru will not be able to do a quint. He has yet to land 4A and I highly doubt that we will ever see 4A in competition.
Let the quint for Boyang. :drama:
